What about having a lighter engagement? So you are not "stuck" in a position, but you can have a form of engagement but still allow movement, just a more controlled movement. Im studying pilates and this is how Im currently teaching it. I also state that we should not engage too much that it hinders our breathing and that not all of the Pilate exercises need you to engage the pelvic floor and TVA. e.g. general mobility of the spine, to allow more movement we need more freedom. Also, what about when we do movements that really need you to have more control in that area, e.g. lifting a very heavy object from the ground? What is your perspective on that? So, does it not depend on what the task is?

OMG, I've been trying so hard to figure out why my lower back hurt to bad. Thought I had sciatica or something, but it never quite added up. This is the problem. Totally felt it. Still feel it after sitting down. Started to release, in fact, felt it through my whole body. Slightly dizzy in fact it was so powerful. Will do this every day. Think I may have found a major reason for my headaches. Thank you thank you.
