Holy cow, all the features proposed for BG&E prototypes in 1999 sound nigh impossible to fit in a game today. In having been inducted into the BG&E2 cult through this playthrough, I am now even less certain of that game releasing before Ubisoft goes under. The juxtaposition of Double H and Fuseman's face was great. I appreciate that Beyond Good and Evil permits going loud during stealth sections, and doesn't waste your time if you know what you're doing. It's too ambitious for its own good, but there's an elegance to that type of game that was lost in 7th gen.
