If you cut in slices , a woodworker can do resin coffe tables

Can you use a metal detector on them? Just curious.
@MyMillOnTheHill16 күн бұрын
Yes I use a metal detector but it doesn't penetrate very deep into the wood unfortunately.

So you installed a stop block?
@MyMillOnTheHillАй бұрын
Yeah, a simple jig that stops me from having to measure every time is VERY helpful and aids with uniformity!
@thedailystoner6753Ай бұрын
@@MyMillOnTheHillcouldnt you just use a clamp and piece of scrap, how long did it take to build the jig anyway?

Ruin the blade?
@MyMillOnTheHillАй бұрын
Yes! If it's just a nail it only takes a few teeth off but if it's a piece of rebar or something like that it usually ruins the blade. In this case it was a piece a rebar and it it stopped the saw, toasting the blade!

A quick shot at the end of what the cut boards looked like would have been nice. You know splash some water on there, really make that grain pop, just saying.

Expensive looking machine. Does it do a better job than manual sharpening? Does the convenience justify the outlay?
@MyMillOnTheHillАй бұрын
IGood question. It was pricey, but the sharp blades and convenience allow for really efficient cutting, paying for itself in the long run!

Good milling and metal removal...I was expecting to hear the zing of blade hitting metal at somepoint.

Looks good and it is always fun to use wood that you've milled!
