Does your ercoupe have rudder pedals or is it original?
@JamesGood10 күн бұрын
Hello Sean. It has the factory pedal kit fitted. But that could be removed quite quickly. I kinda like having the pedals for some slipping ability, but most Ercoupe pilots seem to prefer not to have them.
@seancrombie45810 күн бұрын
@@JamesGood yeah, I see a lot of the purist desire but kinda felt like if it was me I’d probably want the option to us my rudders in the traditional sense. I’ve always like the Ercoupe, never flown in one though. I’ve enjoyed following your channel. I’m over in Phoenix, AZ and actually planned to visit your area at some point since I have a friend that lives close and I’d be flying into your airport Nevada County.

Our pump outfit was asked to pull Hood River water well above ground pump, repair an replace. This one water pump was huge being size of about 4 cars. When we got pump back on line, it created a river!

Maybe it's time you gave some thought to laminating your checklist between plastic. It's starting to look a little ragged.

Prineville Oregon is the place where a local rancher named Les Schwab lived. He learned that the tire shop where he had his tractors tires worked on would be closing. He determined to buy the tire changing equipment at the resulting auction, which he did. That is where the Les Schwab tire chain began. He was quite a guy. Prineville Oregon.

I always enjoy your videos and look forward to them. Was hoping that I might run into you at the EOC Convention in Ottawa, KS this year. I drove over and visited during the convention. I still own my 172 but there is just something about Fred Weick’s creation that keeps me wanting one.

Reminded me of flying an Ercoupe in the 80's. You have to consider your route to match the slow climb performance, and lots of time to reach your destination.

I was going to land there in 2022, in the Maule, but only made it as far as the Evergreen Museum. Heard about a 50th anniversary thing about "American Graffiti" at Petaluma and changed plans, A nice change from southern California and experienced actual Oregon weather.

Great to see the 'pre-flight ' map again James. I enjoy studying your U.S. format charts, so different from my N.Z. ones, and spend almost as much time tracking you and flicking back at points of interest as I do watching your video. Great stuff!

G,day James from Sydney Australia. How long since checking the oleo struts (seals, oil and gas)? Great video, captured some interesting land formations. 🌏🇦🇺
@JamesGoodАй бұрын
Hey John. They had not been done for many years. I did them a month after this video, new seals, donuts, 5606 oil. There's no gas in the oleos on the Ercoupe.

Thanks.
