I still remember the very bad ride from Tom on Frankel that day... Another bad ride was the guineas. although no one will blame him as he won, he just unnecessarily burnt Frankel who was almost the only horse that can still sustain to win in such a ride in the group 1s. He felt as if he was riding on the dirt tempo!

Two fabulously talented horses no doubt as well as conspicuously notable sires - I have no emotional connection with Storm Cat as he only raced in America and I never saw any of his races , though I’m now fully aware of his breeding success - on the other hand 😅.. I actively disliked Giants Causeway and never backed him once , so consequently he was constantly beating horses I DID back , though I’d be remiss not to fully respect his top class and battling qualities . Great vid though , cheers 🍻 👍🏴

A fantastic video on an amazing trainer. I do take exception to his son boldly proclaiming that "Had Nijinsky fractured a pastern, nobody would have ever heard of Northern Dancer". This is a total joke. The Dancer was the leading sire in North America in 1971. The latest any of those horses could have been bred is 1968 one year BEFORE Nijinsky made his debut. OBrien definitely saw the potential for sure, but The Dancer was headed for greatness with or without him.
