This was good. Great character, great story, great pacing. We get that coveted closure i spoke of elsewhere, but it leaves room for the audience to fill in the moral blanks left by the uncertainty his situation. I really want to see the sequel to this.

A short short story only works if you can cram an entire narrative into an extremely limited space. You gave me the first and second act, but there was no climax or denouement. The experience answered no questions, raised no new questions, nor did it offer more than a tease of a provocative idea. Telling half a story and leaving the ending unresolved is mid twentieth century modernist nonsense. I'm all for ambiguous endings that get the audience thinking, but there has to be some sort of resolution. Hemingway and Steinbeck understood this. The Wachowski brothers and Christopher Nolan understand this. You don't get to tell half a story and then hide behind "but muh artistic license." Finish the story! Edit: you addressed the intelligent criticism of others and promised to work on those aspects that were viewed unfavorably. I have subscribed because I like responsive artists who take criticism seriously. Let's see what you can do!

Thank you for your comment! I wonder what did you get out of story? Can you please be more specific. Why do you feel it needs to be completed and how do you think it is possible to complete it? I am only asking because for me it is complete. I will share my vision after your answer coz I don’t want to enforce my viewpoint and want to hear your version first.

@Max Maze thanks for getting back to me. I do appreciate your responsiveness. I rewatched it to be certain of my review and noted the following: The opening is good. Pregnant lady giving birth in a tundra wilderness. It set a lonely, foreboding tone but also set the stage for further character development: who is she? What is her conflict? How did she come to be pregnant? Why is this important? That appears to be the first act. So far, so good. The second act opens with a possible dead body lying in a field and a radioactive blimp nearby. This would have been fine, but there seems to be a missing moment where we need to see something more. We now have incongruity. Where did the blimp come from? Did it come to take her child? To rescue her? We went from painful birth to blimp thing without any transition. This brings us to the third act (my previous assessment was wrong. There are three acts). We discover it was a historical film for robots about their origin story. Except that none of this was made evident in the first two acts. A robot crawling out from a hole in her stomach or her cradling an android baby would have made sense. In retrospect, perhaps the blimp is what she gave birth to? That is unclear. If such is the case, it would have been a helpful illustration to have the blimp grow from a tiny little baby blimp so the audience could make the connection. The denouement is the Most confusing part where this woman/android/sex slave turns to the robot next to her and says "no" to which the robot slumps in disappointment/resignation/defeat. We do not know what she said no in response to or why her partner reacted negatively. The concept of humans being replaced by robots is clear, but who is the woman in the theater? Is she the lone survivor? Is she the subject of the historical film? Was she revived in the distant future? Is she a robot herself? If I were to make this film, I would clarify that the pregnant woman in the first act gave birth to a robot during the transition between acts 1and 2. I would make the radioactive blimp act upon the world instead of being acted upon. That would flesh out the blimp as a character and clarify its purpose to the new robot race. The third act could thus be left intact. The denouement still puzzles me. However, given the story as I understand it, I would explain the purpose of the woman in the theater, perhaps giving her a borg-like prosthetic so we understand that she is human living in a mechanical world, and changing her line to more clearly reflect what she is trying to convey (i.e. "lies!," or "that isn't what happened," or "put me back," or "please kill me.") Simply saying "no" leaves so much room for interpretation that there is almost no chance that the audience will be able to interpret it in a manner that gives closure. That brings me to a final point: the greatest stories ever told, from Gilgamesh to the Bible to Hamlet to Casablanca to the Princess Bride universally give the audience closure. They do not worry themselves with post-modern ideas about subjective meaning in story because the audience does not want the conflict to be left unresolved. Even stories that are a bit more hard-core like Of Mice and Men or No Country For Old Men resolve the issues fully, leaving the audience to puzzle it out morally, but retaining closure, even if it is not the happy, riding off into the sunset ending they wanted. Don't be afraid to tell the audience what you mean. They like to be challenged, but there's a broad line between exposition dumps and obfuscation. I hope my essay helps. Please let me know if you want further clarification on anything I said. God speed, my friend!

@@regularfather4708 hey hey! thanks for such a detailed answer! So the story from my perspective was this: Woman walks in the field and gives birth to…a bomb. It is an animation so exaggeration of size is the tool I use to make it more of a shocking viewing experience. Actually, there is a room for an argument here coz one of the viewers suggested that she gave birth to an airship considering the form, and that inside her womb it could be packed and then unpacked and filled with gas while she was giving birth. So, the ending is not open for me also. Coz it is telling a story usual for humans. Dude takes the girl to the cinema. And in this case, it is a robot that is hitting for a human female. Also, a pretty old fashioned one. So after watching a historical movie about first silicon-birth woman, girl understands what is waiting for her in the future and says “No” to him. This makes this video a drama.

@Max Maze knowing what you were trying to say, I think the only real problem was clarity. Once you explained it, it made sense. I bet if you spent a little time showing the bomb being born - rather than the cut scene - and expand her dialog to something more expressive like "you're out of your mind," or "not with me" you could convey your message while retaining the super short format. In the end, I'm not the artist, I'm just a dude who likes good stories and wants to encourage independent artists to tell good stories. I enjoyed your video about the immortal man who was uncertain about jumping into a black hole. You clearly have amazing stories to tell, so I'll let you get back to it!

sorry. usually some advertisements try to convey what they're selling without letting you know what it is, which works most of the time. but this is very confusing and frustrating cause when I clicked the ad I was expecting it to show some sort of content that made sense about what it said about its product. but it made me look like a fool when it showed something I would expect mobile ads to show, like some cheap false advertisement. I was really expecting more of something amazing or even interesting when it comes to this things. sorry for being rude, I just hate when corporates try to advertise something else, when really it sucks.
