Hey Max, have you measured the string spacing at the bridge? I bought one of the earlier RSD's 2021 at a steal and I noticed that the string don't line up centered over the pickups. After measuring the bridge it looks like 18mm spacing over 19mm pickups. Looking at the one you're holding it looks the same. It has space on the neck to support 19mm but looks like they decided to stay with an I'll fitted bridge. I'm replacing mine with a 19mm bridge because I don't like all the extra wood on the outside of the B and G strings. Let me know what you think. Thanks for all your videos. Larry

Hi again ... So after a year or so, 🎉🎉How has that bass neck been doing as far staying straight ? Does it require much adjusting or is it really stable ? I live in a very dry desert climate in El Paso Tx as to why i am asking this question .

Cool video , I’m getting a Carl Thompson 6 string fretless built now. I can’t wait to get into it . Your bass looks and seems to be fantastic . I play any kind of bass at the end of the day as long as it feels and sounds good. High end low end makers it’s all bass to me. I’m gonna look into that Markus style bass. Very interesting

I bought the black one, and I am truly elated and in love. All my life, I could not stand Rickenbacker as I sold the on I had in the 70's due to its lack of versatility and those noisy(no matter what) pickups, but Jackson woke the rick up extremely well and flawlessly also made it not only a 5 string 24 fret 35" scale monster with 18mm bridge spacing but a 3 band active EQ and a quiet split coil neck pickup to name a few amenities that literally kills any Rickenbacker at a fraction of the cost.
@maxproud

The "Rick" is an acquired taste. Certainly not for everyone. But I'm thinking you liked the design of it? Since the "Jackenbacker" is similar. I'm pleased you love it. Much more of a versatile sound. And wow! It looks so striking on stage!🤩

The nice thing about the modern player dimension is that the triplebucker is actually the standard soapbar size with many aftermarket upgrade options to replace the cheap chinese garbage they came with, all the other variants are active with a proprietary pickup design and if you don't like them as is you're screwed

Sadly, I must be honest. By my naked ear over the years. I haven't noticed a definitive in the quality of different bridges! String-thru design is supposed to give more sustain in the strings. But have you noticed the difference? I really haven't! Just being honest!
