It might be that tope are visual predators, like pike which aren't caught at night.

@@FishHunterUK Thought so. Sometimes it isn't always best when there's other people fishing. More than likely they hadn't a clue either. SW winds are best for there or anything with a W in it. Better luck next time and remember the wind direction!

Well done for trying Rhys, tope fishing is like that, can be very frustrating at times but effort eventually equals reward. Put tons of hours in this year and finally managed to hook one about three weeks ago, hung me up about 20 yds out in some kelp and unfortunately I lost it but giving up is not something I do. Stick at it, you’ll get that fish.

Rhys, it was actually a very nice video. Doing what you do best, engaging your audience. You don't always catch. I'm sure there's many people myself included that don't have the balls to get up and try something like that on their own. Keep it up though the videos are entertainment and inspiration even when you don't catch. You're keeping it real and that's why you have so many subs. You will get the tope soon.

I bet if some of English words look Welsh the way you pronounce them. Du-the. Wowa-water. Free-three etc. as bad as us Geordies haha. Great video tho. Personally I would feel a blank coming on, fishing in water so shallow. Ain't got the bottle to try it.
