I remember this on TV back in the day, fantastic. Saw them live in Kidderminster (just 30mins up the road from Worcester) May 15th 2024 and they were amazing.

Kind of a downer with no Bootsy Collins in the mix. Bootsy and Q-tip were why they got their one hit as to most it was a Parliament and Q-tip song with some random New York club kid singing with them.

The noise element was what drew me to listen to them. They’re inspirational! So ahead of their time. Psychocandy is a masterpiece, many artists have copied their style. I wish I’d been to one of their early shows.

In the 80s I lived next to Sefton Park on Linnet Lane. Fun stuff at a time when the 'alternative' scene sometimes took itself too seriously. Looking back, some great music and great people around at that time :) I'm a bit older than Annabella and tried a similar mohecan - didn't like it much - preferred it up - lol!) Good to see she kept going...🙏🏻

I'll never forget that evening......we'd waited a long time to hear something & then they launched into "Love removal Machine" (Start me up intro) by the Rolling Stones. It was a massive disappointment for the die hard fans & it changed how he spoke & sang too date! What I mean about that is they went to America for maybe 18 months & he came back with the most fake American accent ever.. it was shameful.

they are the true definition of "cool kids". I discovered them weeks back, and I'm too immersed in their world, I never listened to bjork until I found out this band. discovering the sugarcubes then discovering bjork is such a strange experience i'll never forget, it feels different. what's more interesting to me is that I still can't believe they grow older, in my mind they're still very young I wonder how they feel about getting older when they experience being the sugarcubes..
