Superb quality throughout, easy to assemble. I found the saw to be highly accurate and a delight to use (I am a homeowner using this saw for various projects). I attached the saw to a folding mobile stand to save space and that works great kzfaq.infoUgkxPeGkHOMe05FySypTOvYumxMn-xi39oRe as well. However, you have to be sure the saw is securely locking in position before collapsing the stand. I've had many of the brands over the years and have come to point where I only buy Bosch, the extra money is a small price to pay for the quality and ease of use. Treat yourself to the best.

*Excellent heavy duty laser set. Not for the novice, id say. For professional use, it is perfect. Excellent for ground up construction, foundations, walls, decks, you name it. Not the tool you will use for home use or hanging pictures.. it is over kill for that and you will never use it to its full potential. It's been put through daily use and abuse on new construction, demo and remodel sites, and everything in between for the past several months and is in rotation with the most used tools. From just getting started, to double checking after the fact, it is a great laser and will last for years with the great roll cage type protection. Definitely an envied tool on the job sites by various fields. Not something to leave in the gang box or overnight because it will be gone in a heart beat.. How many time can you use it ?

Just bought this saw and not impressed with the XPS lighting. After adjusting to get the blade square with the fence (square with table was OK), I marked a line on some scrap wood and tried a cut. Seems the cut edge is about 1/16" off from the shadow. I could not find anything in the manual for adjusting the light and shadow. Now wish I had saved the $$$ and bought a DWS779.

I paid just under $ 600 for mine and I absolutely love it. I built a drop center bench so the saw sits flush with left and right sides with a metal straight edge back stop so the boards slide flush and square with the saw. 8ft left 6ft right Perfect.

never heard of metabo until the other day..where are they sold in Canada? I'm in the market for a cordless drill. At work all we use are hilti tools but I don't think any of their drills (other than their hammer drills) are worth the money. I can get a ridgid, makita, milwaukee, or bosch drill/impact driver combo kit for less than the price of just hilti's sfh 18a cordless drill. The ridgid have the best features of them all. I'd like to check out metabo in person before i buy anything
