it's not that this video alone got me into bikes, I was already riding but this video got me so fkng energized about it as I was living in the suburbs, I had no 'bike friends' as far as I knew it was just me and suddenly there is this whole culture and movement : )

every time i want to spend bucketloads of money for a new shiny bike, i watch some of these movies and think "maybe its not only the bike"...26inch, narrow bars..unrideable for todays marketing departments

Did the trailer to this film feature the song atomic moog (cornelius mix)? Been trying to track that trailer down for ages! Amazing film.

still my favorite to watch ride, still get that want-to-go-shred when i watch sam. especially in his prime on the Sunday. he was just on another level from everyone else back then, making it look so easy foot out flat out on geo that that is much harder to ride than a standard 2024 trail bike

Minaar is undoubtedly the GOAT due to his consistency and insane longevity but mid 2000's Sam Hill was the best riding the sport has ever seen in my opinion, knee out, sideways drifting across lines nobody else saw at speeds nobody else could live with. He raised the bar single handedly during that era. The clip from Maribor at 17:45 is just silly, the speed is mind bending

Mad to think that Minaar is still standing on WC podiums to this day....at the top since the f******g 90's

This is fantastic! Suspension was terrible for everyone the number of bottom outs heard is amazing. The only thing better about today is bikes don't sound like a paint can full of nails thrown down the hill. DH is my spirit animal the clock tells no lies, no judges it really is the best! Thank you Alex!

so many Intense M-1's out there. Having been around back then (and before then), it's looks at the 'old days' that we all forgot about, really show how far the bikes and clothing has come.....stretchy fabrics really are far more comfortable to ride in!

Thanks so much for posting this! I also lost my copy of the DVD and been searching for the MXDN video as I made the trip and never forgot that part of the DVD and its awesome vibe and music. Moto Magazine and these films really were ground breaking. To hear the difficulties behind the scenes is not surprising. As fans we loved it. Really appreciated!
