Fries were invented in Flanders, Belgium. And that region used to be part of The Netherlands... We still share some provinces with Flanders and share the same language: Dutch. So us Dutch have been making fries along with our Belgian brothers since the invention of fries. Just as a rminder: fries were NOT invented in France but for some reason in the USA they call them French fries.

Essendo io migrante svizzera, potrei anche non prendere in nessuna considerazione la comunita' europea. Tuttavia recentemente ho voluto incontrare tanti europei al punto centro di raccolta e smistamento (video). Tutti cittadini piuttosto sconcertati e mi sono fatta questa idea. Siamo tutti terroristi. Cioe' in ogni stato europeo, a prescindere dalle scelte politiche e dalla politica, a prescindere dal pagamento delle tasse ecc., ciascun cittadino europeo in ogni stato europeo e' un terrorista. Tutti se ne fregano di dove va il mondo. Ciascuno, a suo modo, e' un terrorista. C'e' poco da fare. In Svizzera non ne parliamo proprio. Siamo i piu' terroristi di tutti. Ho visto cose che neanche vi potete immaginare...gli itagliani poi....come li amiamo noi non li ama nessuno, proprio nessuno.
