Oops! You kind of just went and pretty much dethroned one of my long-time heroes, Dan Faehnle, whose solo on _Revenge For Clarence_ (off D. Berk's album, _One By One_ ) I have kind of esteemed as something of a paragon of bebop guitar for nearly 30 years, you incredibly-skilled/inspiring guitarist on KZfaq whom I have just randomly discovered and swiftly subscribed as of this evening!

Great lesson! At 6:29 (C7 flat5) works great for your ‘whole tone’ nonsense. Lmao!

Awesome idea. I was always wondering how to use triads for this purpose.😊

I tried this idea but got stuck straight away as I can't stretch from the A note to the D note on 6th string due to having small hands/fingers! Frustrating!

Your playing is jaw dropping, you teach in a way that strikes such a wonderful balance of dense and approachable, I know this is an older video but thank you sir! Do you stick to teaching or do you have music that I could listen to as well? The stuff you play is complex but relaxing and sounds so damn cool.

Quite true. Great knowledge I am gaining. I am an 8th Grade Trinity pianist. I love jazz too and was fed up with all the theory gained. Now I can put my theory into practise at last!

So you dont have to do exactly what he did but what you could do guys is break down a chord like c major triad make an aprpegio shape with that then go up with another shape like a minor and then if you want to get all your chords just do what you do to the others
