For sure, buy whatever you want. It's not really an opinion though. It's fact. Goldback premiums are insanely high when compared to gold and silver coins/bars. They also aren't accepted everywhere and those buying them in states where they aren't accepted will have a hard time getting rid of them without taking it in the shorts.

The United States may be planning to liquidate the 8000 tons of gold they hold at Fort Knox. This will destroy the gold market as I see it and make the dollar stronger. The U.S. can sell their goddamn gold for whatever price they want and to whomever they want, flooding the gold market with easily obtainable gold to American citizens only. This will destroy the price of gold driving it down into the dirt. The U.S. has less than 1 Trillion dollars in gold, but their debt is 32 trillion, so it does no good for the U.S. to hold on to gold when it can't make a dent in their debt.

@@popeye1313 Not random dealer, random KZfaq channel. For example, Shawn Ryan's show is sponsored by various gold companies. They don't research the company, these KZfaq channels just take the payment and hock the company's message. Your initial question is extremely vague. There isn't any context. Reliable in what context. Are you looking to buy physical metals? Are you looking for a place to park your money for retirement? Are you looking for a storage facility? I'm speaking in generalities which applies to many companies like Hartford but not specific to Hartford. Many of these gold companies have commercials on Tv, KZfaq etc, where they say you should park your money in precious metals and they are the place for you to do it. The problem is, often times, you're overpaying for what you're buying and paying someone else to hold your metals. If you don't hold it, you don't own it.

0:00 🤔 Examining the worth of buying gold bars compared to gold coins, considering factors like cost, design, and authenticity. 2:30 💰 Gold bars offer size variety for every budget, but smaller pieces often come with higher premiums. 3:25 🌍 Gold bars are widely recognized and admired worldwide, especially where sovereign coins are less common. 4:23 ⚠ Beware of counterfeit gold bars, which can be easier to replicate compared to coins, potentially posing risks to buyers. 5:20 💲 Cheaper prices for gold bars in the US don't always translate to better deals, as coins tend to have higher demand and liquidity. 7:01 📝 Consider bullion reporting requirements when selling gold bars, especially in the US, where transactions may need to be reported to the IRS. 8:18 🛡 Prioritize buying gold bars from reputable sources with unique designs to reduce the risk of counterfeits, even if it means paying a slightly higher price for peace of mind.

Great video. Only people that initially fell for the Goldback scam are trying to bring others into it. it's similar to a pyramid scheme. You can't use them anywhere, only exchange them for dollars at a loss from the dealers who sell them again to other unsuspecting victims. ( Similar to crypto) Pre 1964 silver coins is where its at Or 1/3g , 1/2g or 1g gold bars. Plentry of acid kitsand magnets to test them, Goldbacks can't be tested.

I think platinum is a good metal to put money into. The issue is none of the Lcs. Carry it on the regular. The only reason I have any platinum is by chance i went to the lcs 1 day to buy 1/4 gold and seen the 1 oz platinum eagle and i passed cause i was set on gold but returned a few day's later to see and it was still there so i grabed it and never seen any before that or after that day. I feel blessed to have even one the 1 oz coin but the Lcs/bullion shop dont really carry ot inless a person brings it to sale to the shop.

0:00 💰 Gold Bars vs. Gold Coins: - Consider factors like privacy, liquidity, price, and personal preference when choosing between gold bars and gold coins. 1:00 🛡 Coin vs. Round: - Coins are produced by government mints, while rounds are made by private companies. - Government-produced coins are backed and guaranteed by the issuing government. 3:14 🧾 Similarities: - Both coins and bars should display manufacturer mark, purity, and weight. - Higher quality versions may include serial numbers, security features, COA, or assay. 4:36 🔍 Purity Levels: - Gold bars are typically 99.99% pure, while coins vary in purity. - Government mints produce coins with varying levels of purity, with exceptions like the American Gold Eagle and South African Krugerrand. 6:50 🎨 Design: - Coins often feature intricate, country-specific designs, sometimes changing annually. - Bars generally have generic designs, stamped with brand name, weight, and purity. 8:20 💳 Cost and Privacy: - Bars usually have a lower premium over coins, making them cost-effective. - Selling gold bars over a certain weight may trigger reporting, affecting privacy. 10:39 🏦 IRA Eligibility: - Some gold bars and coins are eligible for inclusion in IRAs, offering investment flexibility. - Eligible items may differ from those subject to reporting requirements. 11:23 ⚠ Counterfeiting: - Both coins and bars are counterfeited, with security features improving counterfeit deterrence. - Purchasing from reliable sources mitigates the risk of buying fakes. 11:57 🤔 Conclusion: - Consider personal preferences, privacy concerns, liquidity, price, and design preferences when choosing between coins and bars. - Having a mix of both coins and bars can provide diversification and flexibility in your precious metals portfolio.

I believe you are missing the main point of Goldbacks. There are reasons they have taken off, in many cases with experienced investors. I am a 35-year precious metals investor and have been buying for over two years. I have found most dealers price them fairly (they know they are competing with other sellers just a few clicks away), and it's easy to shop around online. I keep Goldbacks primarily for use as a barter currency, the primary reason for which they were created. A few points: 1. A barter currency of any sort must be acceptable by both parties to the transaction. Precious metal coins are a poor barter currency because few merchants have the capacity or willingness to research the true value of the coin - as opposed to face value - and verify authenticity. If it is a US coin, the federal government only guarantees face value and, with very rare exceptions, face value is all a merchant will offer you. Coins are also relatively easy to counterfeit. 2. A Goldback note is guaranteed within the state (where produced) and the current value is easily obtainable at the Goldback website. Using them as barter currency is simple (I have done it frequently in New Hampshire). The website maintains a map of businesses that accept them - they are all over the state and growing - and most post a sticker near the entrance indicating they are Goldback-friendly. There is a simple, frequently-updated calculator on the goldback website where a cashier (even Gen Z) can determine how many goldbacks you need to cover the bill (they are fungible) and how much change to provide. If you want to pay partially with GBs and another method, the calculator can also compute how more you owe based on the number of GBs provided. 3. They are not necessarily state specific in terms of acceptance. I've found that many GB friendly New Hampshire businesses, for example, accept Goldbacks from any state. 4. Even without understanding the technology behind Goldbacks, anyone looking at one instantly realizes they would be extremely difficult to counterfeit. 5. Yes, they are an entry-level investment in precious metals for some, but nothing wrong with that. Most go on to also buy PMs in other forms. 6. As the video points out, they're works of art and it appears (based on eBay prices) some early editions have become collectors items. There's no denying the high premiums for the actual metal contained, but then Goldbacks provide advantages no other forms of precious metals can match. I'm all in.

Thanks for the time and labors of this video. Yes Yankee is a great guy whom I occasionally drop a comment to. I have several 100 CML’s with milk spots, thus prompting me to watch many videos of how to get rid of them. don’t want to try the chemical cleaners as I don’t see the end results of which I would desire to obtain. I have tried the magic erasers, buff and scrub cloths and pads, they do help but have left scratches . They also don’t work in the areas of the lettering. I am now tempted to buy a rock tumbler and use ground corn cob to Polish off the milk spots. Has anyone reading this tried that method?
