It is not an 8.l the Avalanche 2500 has an added plastic cladding on the front fenders (above the wheel) also the 2500 had "Avalanche 2500" on the cladding on both front doors. Last thing is the engine sound, definitely not a big block

The Avalanche weighs 5,803 lbs The Ram 1500 weighs 4,779 lbs the Avalanche is a 1000 lbs heavier it's going to win no matter what. Put a 1000 lbs of lead in the ram truck bed, and it will pull the frame off that Chevy. Get real..
