Otis is the king of the Recruiting Bowery like Morpheus in John Wick. Using his pet pigeons to send and receive his recruiting scoops. Mike Irwin certainly would steal them and take credit. OKirk is a real OG. Always has been, always will be.

Baseball? Go look up the viewership numbers for baseball. Nobody cares about baseball anymore. Reruns of college football games actually get more viewers than live baseball games. That is just the way it is. Baseball if boring as hell compared to the other sports like football and basketball.

Well Baseball has more foreign players than American. Cause American kids would rather do other sports here because its to expensive and u need alot of people to play it.

You can't compare track to football. Just about every school loves football and emphasizes it. Not the same for track and field.

Drinkowitz wants a rivalry with Arkansas and he has made that game a priority. Until Arkansas cares about that game in the same way, the results will continue to be in Missouri’s favor.

Quit tryin to downplay Mizzou every chance you get, it's pathetic and embarrassing. They've been beating us like a rented mule for the better part of a decade. Time to give respect where it's due.
@KingofDiamonds856 күн бұрын
He's downplaying it because fans don't see it as a rivalry. And they haven't beat Arkansas as bad as you say except 1-2 times. Most football games are close. But in turn, football is all Mizzou has on Arkansas. Arkansas dominates Mizzou in every other sport.

Rivalry games needs to mean something. By the time we play misery, the games doesnt have much meaning. Usually from.our side. Texas is way different. If you beat Texas it always ment ranking . If you wonder why hate Texas. All you haave to do is look back at those home refs.

We lost several games by one touchdown. Ill always believe Coach Petrino is worth one more touchdown in any game. Watch for blown cover plays this year. He has a way of setting up defenses for a blow up.

It's funny how the Arkansas fans were high on Petrino and how well the Spring Game went then all of a sudden it was doom and gloom because different sports media trashing Arkansas and the fan base took the media bait and the fan base went back to how they were before last season ended, it didn't change me I'm still confident we will do well with Petrino and the much improved offense.

The media voting is irrelevant. Stop talking about it every year. Yeah sure Mike. You should research the players on 15 other teams. The voting and other nonsense by media members is a waste.

Dorkowitz? He's a better coach than Pittman. Dorkowitz 28 - 21 and 3-1 vs Pittman Pittman 23 - 25 1-3 vz Dorkowitz.
@KingofDiamonds856 күн бұрын
Dorkowitz's team last season is a misnomer. Virtually every team they played had key players get injured or got academically in trouble. Heck, the Ohio State game was against their entire second string and they barely won. Mizzou is going to get exposed this season.

Sam Pittman is entering his 5th year and predicted to finish near the bottom of the league. Most coaches would have a chip on their shoulder from last year's disaster and have a sense of urgency, but not Pittman. He was happy and carefree at SEC Media Days because he knows he's not going to get any hard questions from the media and he's still around collecting that $6 mil a year from the university. If the media wasn't so soft, they'd ask about the sorry state of the program or point out how ridiculous it was to bring Pittman back when everybody thinks they'll be terrible again. Instead they'd rather talk about how likeable he is or how nice he seems.
@OnlyBands5016 күн бұрын
@elmerfudpucker5387 you sound dumb that's not asking tough questions that's boarder line harassment honestly put yourself in Sam's shoes then ask yourself that question what do you say in response now as the media personnel realize you just lost your job!

Like our odds to go up. So you think we need another Chad Morris. You'll get tge kids if you win or buy them.
@KingofDiamonds856 күн бұрын
You repeat the same talking point on every Arkansas video. Here's something to consider: Is Arkansas playing the long game? Think long and hard and not just your need for immediate gratification. Seriously! Look at the schools who have more prestige and more money than Arkansas that has had a hard time finding coaches. A&M picked Elko after 5-6 other coaches turned them down. Texas has gone through a bunch of coaches and are finally seeing success now but Sarkisian was their 4-5 choice. Auburn got Freeze after their to 4-5 choices turned them down. Heupal(sp.) at Tennessee was their 7th choice. The only two SEC schools that got exactly who they wanted was Alabama and Georgia. Why? Both previous coaches had long tenures as their coach. Granted Saban was winning titles, which makes Alabama attractive and Georgia is Smart's alma mater and dream job but both schools showed they were willing to work with any coach and help them win titles, not just fire them in 2-3 years if they don't produce. As much as people say money fixes a lot of problems, it's also created a lot of problems as well, especially for coaches. Schools like Texas, A&M, Tennessee and Auburn have such entitled fan bases and donors that most coaches aren't willing to work for employers who want you gone at the first sign of trouble. Now of course there are exceptions like Arkansas firing Morris after 2 seasons but the overarching theme is big money only gets you so far. As much as some like to say Arkansas doesn't have money, we absolutely do but unlike dumb schools like A&M who think just throwing money at the problem fixes everything, we have an AD and donor base that is being strategic with their money. For example, we just got Calipari from Kentucky and gave him a great salary and NIL funds. Our baseball, softball, gymnastics, soccer, etc. pay their coaches well and are giving NIL accordingly to their needs. What does this mean for football? That doesn't mean this is a throw away season. We gave a good DC and a great OC to come and help Pittman. How will the season play out? Who knows but I hope it's a great season. So if it turns out to be a good season, then funds and prestige will be there to help continue to help the program. If it's bad or bad enough that Pittman will either retire or be fired, then we have now shown potential coaches that not only do we have the money to help them but we are also willing to give the time they need to actually build the program. And that's more attractive than continuously paying someone's buyout while trying to scrounge money for another coach. And believe me, Arkansas isn't the biggest name and we have some disadvantages, specifically recruiting, but we can attract a big name or big up and comer to come to Arkansas if needed.
