Have you tried the oral minoxidil and spironolactone? Those are the treatments that dermatologists prescribe for AGA for women.

I am 57 and had this problem since age 24 for some reason my hair has gotten fuller (I praise the Lord. I pray daily for my hair) I use the powder but will give this product a try. Dealing with bald spots is not easy specially for a woman no matter what age you are.

I have had alopecia since I was 13 years old. I sm now 70. It's been a long road of wigs, scraves, and eye brow pencils. I used to use and eye brow pencil with water to make brown paint for the balding patches to hide them. Now the sprays are available. Many years of tears. Stress was a big factor, but I would talk to a doctor about hormone levels and thyroid levels, too. Since menopause my hair loss has stopped, although I still have thinking I haven't had bald patches in 10 years.

As a married man, I’ve actually had male inmates (pen pals) ask me if my wife was okay with me writing them. Especially if they’re sex offenders. So, the question may have been sincere. I get that a lot, and I’m not bothered my it. My wife just asks that I remain anonymous for the safety of our family, but other than that, it is a legitimate question they ask.

I love your attitude 💛 Accept the balding- I’m working on that. I spent a lot on wigs and never felt like myself- kind of fake and self-conscious. So I’m working on accepting what I have 😊

I forgot, try to avoid spray products as much as possible to hide alopecia, they clog the pores and could make your situation worse. At this stage you should try to always keep your scalp free and clean.

Hi, I would like to help you if I can. I was initially diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia, but female alopecia is never "pure", there are often other reasons. Thanks to a good endocrinologist, after decades of suffering, I understood that I suffered from insulin resistance. Few doctors are good at diagnosing it. I'll tell you what worked for me: - Follow a low sugar diet, always prescribed by the endocrinologist, learn to read labels. Avoid foods that have more than 5g of sugars per 100g in the section: "Carbohydrates of which sugars" - Try to avoid stress, it worsens insulin resistance terribly. - Constant physical activity. Even half an hour or an hour of walking a day is fine, or train with KZfaq videos. - For topical treatment do not go to a dermatologist, he will not help you. You need to go to a good trichologist. He prescribed me a biostimulation treatment to be done every 15 days, they are small pricks on the head. Then specific shampoo and conditioner and a lotion to apply before drying them. You will see that it will change your life. Good luck!! And never give up!💪🏻 😘

Having been corresponding with prisoners for over a decade, I’d like to weigh in for a little bit. Prisoners can NOT receive gifts from the outside, so no: “oh, I’m letting my kids make them something” or “I’m gonna send them stuffs”. Not allowed. They’re going digital in most states and even the handwritten letters are being sent to a central point only to be scanned and sent to their tablets. Fwiw: writing with prisoners is kinda dying because of the rise of social media and life getting more digital, also: there’s a lot more scamming going on and finding a decent penfriend is nearly impossible compared to 13 years ago when I started writing.

Do you or did you have any itching? Flaking? Could you feel strands of hairs literally popping off your scalp? Like your scalp literally just spits it out and you can actually feel it? Do you have ridges on your nails? How long has it been going on? Mine it excessively falling out and it’s been a year already and it’s not stopping. I wish so much that I could have your confidence and attitude!!

my hysband will NOT love me bald and I am going that way pretty damn quick. I used to have a head full of dark brown head now at 72 it is extremely thin on top , doing better on the sides. By the way he is completely bald. He is telling me to get in touch with all those wig makers. My response is; I loved you when you lost yours so now I will just shave mine and we will be equal. If not take a hike mate, nobody is going to cook your meals as I do,

Hi Gina , it really does not look any worse than the last time I saw you and it’s gotten so long . I have had an official diagnosis of Female pattern baldness ☹️. I think it’s worse but everyone including my stylist assures me it’s not . Still using my trusty Batiste and root concealer sprays , have looked into getting a hair topper but no more than that . Not prepared to wear a hair piece while the back and sides are pretty thick and full . Anyway thanks for this update , love and best wishes to EVERYBODY who is suffering the trauma of losing their hair 🫶🏻💐

I could really benefit from Rogaine I think, but I'm too scared to try it. I have 4 cats and the main ingredient is poisonous to cats even in small amounts; so a nibble on my hair, cuddling up near my hair at night or on my pillow, a quick lick near my forehead as i'm passing by....and it could kill them.

Organic red onion juice 45 minutes then rinse w filtered water only.stops hair fall in its tracks. Apple cider vinegar restores the ph in your scalp . Do this 3 days after the onion juice. Do not blow dry unless it’s on low heat from a arms distance. Rosemary oil another 3 days later. On your scalp . Eat sockeye salmon wild caught, with the skin w rosemary ,Eat spinach for iron. Eat garlic n onions w rosemary oysters for zinc.b complex . This helped me . 1 cup of blueberries 1 cup of water1 cup of kale 1 cup of kifir plain w probiotics. Blended.

I just want to alert people Minoxidil has a side effect that causes shedding, and it can last weeks to months. Doctors associate this as positive as it means the person will be a good responder. However, there have been people where it doesn't grow back and if it does, it's not recoup all the hair loss. I have lost 80 percent of my hair, and my cause is malabsorption, which causes low iron. I have yet to find someone despite seeing so many doctors who could help. Hair loss is incredibly frustrating and emotionally draining for women.

I have had hair loss from lupus since my 20s. I chopped my hair down to a pixie for almost 10 years, but have been growing it back out for about the last year and wanted to share what's been working for me. I've had really good success recently with daily oral minoxidil. I like just taking a pill better than putting stuff on my thin, baby fine hair. Before minoxidil, I tried one of those red light therapy hats that I bought used off eBay and it was definitely helping as well - enough so that my rheumatologist noticed the difference. On days when I'm going out and dressing to impress (rarely), I've found that Scalp Foundation from Me Cosmetics works amazing. It costs more initially than the Batiste, but lasts a really long time. I've had mine over a year and I've barely dented the amount in the compact. (I have no affiliation with the company; it's just a good product.) Re: your gastric reflux. I ignored mine for way too long because in the laundry list of things wrong that I have to deal with daily, that seemed like the least worrisome. Turns out, I was wrong and have severe damage to my esophagus. So, I would recommend don't ignore that one.

I dont understand when people say they dont want to spray chemials on their head but will use puddy and hair spray and whatever else. Im surprised your hair still looks the same pretty much as it has for years. Did you have any hair loss befote your surgery? Any pics? Thats usually TE hair loss which grows back 😢 Turkey... Do women go their for transplants? They're as little as 10k. Thats a part time job for less than a year but you look fine and you seem okay with it.

For your viewers - rogaine isnt something you should take when you feel like it. When you begin, you will experience a massive shed and will look worse (at first) than before you used it. That loss is temporary and will fill back in with gains and then some. However if you stop, your hair WILL fall out and if you start again, you will start the sheddinf process all over again. Rogaine is intended to keep the hair you have left so each time you quit just to restart, you will be restarting from a different place of hair loss - one that is worse than the last time.

Hi Gina, good to see you. Wow, your hair grows longer and longer. Mind doesn’t. Question: is anyone or has anyone used oils? For example, I started six months ago using castor oil with rosemary oil, only a few drops per oil, but I found out that castor oil is too thick, the scalp doesn’t absorb much of it. So, I am thinking of buying argon oil and mix it with rosemary oil. Let me know if anyone has tried this. Thanks :). God bless you
