Thank you for this wonder I wonder why you use an armature for rotating the ferris wheel. Why not just rotating the x axis ?
@ms3d622
@ms3d622 Ай бұрын
It is personal preference. I like to keep things unit like, armature helps with that.

@@ms3d622 ah ok. I 've seen an obstacle animation where mutiple objet follow each other. If let's say you had 10 balls following each other in your obstacle run and making the same move, is there a way to duplication the ball animation ?

@@nikolas4749 If you have a ball animated, then duplicated you can select the keys and offset them in the dopesheet

@@markseljan when you do a shift+d it duplicated also the ball animation ?

@@nikolas4749 Yes, in that case you have the exact same keys, just select them all, and move in the timeline to delay the movement. If you need you can alter the animation as you wish.

I have watched at least 10 videos on NLA, but yours is the most comprehensive and really cover what I need. I was trying to do very similar thing, but the squirrel would have stop at the end of the path, looks scared, and turn 180, and run away fast. I suppose I will need another empty and rotate it 180 and repeat the run animations?🤩🤩🤩

hi man thanks for videos. i have a question for you, i understand that you switched from 3ds max to blender. what is the reason for this and which software do you think is better and simpler in modeling?
@ms3d622
@ms3d622 8 ай бұрын
Hi, due to the pandemic the popularity of Blender skyrocketed. This application is also free. The switch is not my choice, I preferred Max, but newcomers in 3D at the University liked the Blender option better. There is no big difference. Some parts are better here, some better there. I like UV, Retopo, Scene management, file units-export-import in Max better, also liked the CAT rig a lot. Blender is free, that is true, but plugins addons not. There is no perfect 3D software anyways. I am using these about 22 years and thought they will evolve to be easier to handle, but it never comes. Learn the basics in as many as you can. Some areas in the industry are using a lot and jumping between them. There is no one best, many used for a few tools and that is it. Have a good day, Cheers

would you prefer skin morph rather than this technique ? would it be more precise ?
@ms3d622
@ms3d622 9 ай бұрын
Skin Morph has the flexibility to adjust on the go, but it can be also a fair amount of work. Muscles on critical areas can help a lot. Shoulder, neck, wrist, calf where you have more freedom of movement can enjoy muscles more especially when there is strecth. Bicep, knee, elbow, etc you can control in a neat way with Skin Morph and manage compression through careful shaping.

Man, i need help here... When i changed, for example, the material of eyes, the material of hair change too, i dont know how fix that
@ms3d622
@ms3d622 9 ай бұрын
Hi, When you change a material it will affect all the models by default, To have a material permanent select the subtool, make sure the M material channel is turned On on the top shelf and use Color --> FillObject, this will assign a material to the subtool. Once this is done you can change the material again and it will update only on the rest of the (unassigned) subtools. Be careful, if RGB is turned on as well it may flood with color and not just material. Hope this helps, Mark

Thank you and sorry, I don't have the painting part recorded. Usually I use Color Spray and an Alpha like Alpha 07. Painting a base tone manually, then painting slightly blueish tones around the yes. more red-rose around nose and eyes corner. Forehead may be a bit yellowish. Neck and ears are usually has more reds. I also like to paint darker tones around cavities. Instead of using cavity masks and projecting pictures I prefer paint. As a final touch up I use image based textures. Please not these colors are subtle, and changed carefully, skinshade4 is working great and some wax can help. It is faster to paint manually the broad areas and use pictures for touch ups. Usually pictures need to be carefully prepared and tone should be adjusted before start using them. If the paint is manual, I can keep images for specific details, like around eyes, ears, navel, lips, hands&fingers. This reduces the search time and editing of images. Not a tutorial, but hope it helps. Have a good day :)
