That’s where we lack man. We really need to stop comparing just because something is closer to our heart. Like mate, if Marvel Comics stay alive for more than 500 years, that will have almost same level of importance in world literature. Imagine when Mahabharat was first written. People had compared the same thing “Ramayan is much more greater than this new set of books” (I forgot the original name of Mahabharat) But over time, Mahabharat got the respect it deserved. In fact, Mahabharat has bigger world building, more complex story telling (one of the only ancient stories that is more complex than most of today’s modern complex stories) Mahabharat took years to get the recognition. For centuries, Ramayan was more popular, most poets wrote about Ramayan. But as the world developed, and grew more complex and people worldwide became more aware of anti-heroes and gray characters, Mahabharat eventually took over. Similarly, 200 years down the line, if MCU (at least the comics survive), they will definitely get huge popularity, especially the first 4 phases. (After that it went kinda downhill)

Weirdly, this is the ONLY one of the X trilogy I actually liked. Like you, I hated X, which is weird because 80% of the population seem to award that as one of the greatest horror films of all time. The vibe, the soundtrack, this one just pulled me in. This is an instance where the cartoonish characters didn't really bother me. Good review as always Mark!

@@cinemaniacstv The titles are supposed to be solid white but they are translucent. You can see the color of the scene underneath the white titles. I referenced it to a version on Tubi where it is solid white. Not only that, I’ve never seen any movie where titles are translucent. Were they not aware of this? It seems like it could’ve been fixed easily digitally. Maybe there is a reason for I don’t understand.
