Man what do I do? I’ve got the same issue right now. Backstory I got t boned in April . I drove the car still for 3 days and while on the road on the 4th, the gauge cluster all shut down but the car was still moving. No lights inside nothing. I decided not to drive the car any more and leave it to sit but I still will start it and it will start with no gauge movements nothing. Fast forward after a couple weeks/ months , after insurance totaled the car , I’m over here contemplating on how to start building it back up. Car is in great shape. I need a new bumper/fender, some wiring fixed due to damage in the front. Basically this is where I am at. Whelp

Thanks for posting. Very helpful to troubleshooting my 2001-2002 RHD JDM model. Mine luckily ended up being resolved by disconnecting/reseating the back of the meter panel. My assumption is that after 22-23 years it lost full contact on the connectors. I did go the extra step in adding a little dielectric grease to keep it seated, hopefully extending connectivity for another 20 years.

This is great info and I learned new thing from your video. Same combination of keys worked into my Acura MDX 2012 but XM option didn't show me the error messages. Your menu is bit different. Below is my story: I have 2012 Acura MDX, 130K mileage, last week three lights appeared and four messages like Check Trailer Stability Assist, check VSA, ABS and SH-AWD. I already faced issues in cold winter when fob key was not opening the door lock sometimes, fob has new battery so I knew there is something inside the car and now in normal temperature sometimes lock was working and sometimes not. I called CAA and person checked the battery and said battery and alternator is good but your battery is 6 years old, normal battery life is 3-5 years so it is your choice to change it now or later. I decided to change it now but after that lights and messages were still present, even I checked after 10 hours in the night and still lights and messages were present. Next day in morning, after 24 hours, when I started then all three lights and four messages gone. I was really happy and now everything is working fine. Even I checked the Acura self diagnosis and it didn't show any error, all were green. It was just a weak battery problem but the messages were scary :).

There is a way to put an Allen wrench into the tensioner so it stays back out of the way of the bottom bolt.

Thank you so much for your video. I did everything the way you said except I used a serpentine belt removal tool that gives you the leverage to move the tensioner back with ease. Once I had it back far enough, there is a hole that you can put the short end of an Allen wrench in to lock the tensioner in place. By doing that, I could do the whole job by myself. I went to buy the removal tool from Auto Zone and found out that they will loan it to you. Thanks again!
