The Z6 II is a great camera with a very good support system. Having 20 Nikon cameras, starting with the S2, I can use even my legacy glass across my film, DSLR, and Mirrorless cameras. The AF glass with the FTZ adapter offers a unique image experience. I use such combos for weddings, too! Try it out...

I did the same and upgraded from the D750 (which I still own) to the Z6ii last Summer. I love my Z6ii I also use the FTZii adapter with my native F mount lenses. I've only purchased the Z24-20 F/4S lens and it's a really good lens. My next and final purchases will be the Z 28-75 f/2.8 and Z 70-180 f/2.8 lenses, my friend has these lenses and does amazing wedding and event photography with them both. Enjoy your new purchase ☺

I am in the same boat. I'm in the process right now of making the leap into mirrorless photography. My Nikon D750 and 70-200 VR II are on the way to the camera store to get inspected and tested for a final offer. I'm going to then buy the Z6II from them and hopefully have it by next Saturday or the following Monday. I started shooting in 2018 right when Nikon introduced the Z6 and Z7 cameras. I couldn't afford them, and I'm glad now that almost 6 years later, I'm able to jump in and get the improved version. So, it's good to see videos like this.

I upgraded from a d3400 to the z6ii. For me I wanted the 14 fps and low light responsiveness. I do a lot of softball photography for my granddaughter's team and I needed to be able to shoot at night under the lights. I watched a lot of reviews on KZfaq and determined the best settings for what I do. The z6ii edged out the z7ii because of the low light responsiveness.

I was a Canon guy for 20 years, but later I got the Nikon D750, then D780 which I loved them. Suddenly one day I visited Best Buy and saw the Z6II on display and when I tried it and looked thru the electronic viewfinder I got In love with the Z6II. So I a few months later got it with the Z 24-70mm lens and took beautiful shoots here in Miami and also did photography in Fall in the Great Smoky Mountains, the Z 24-70 lens was fantastic, but I needed more reach, so I got the Z 24-120 f/4 s lens. A little expensive but it was worth it, very sharp. Two years later I decided to sell the Z6II and got the Z7II, more megapixels and Sharpness, but 2 months ago I realized the Z8 came out. Now I have the Z8 with the 24-120 mm lens and I'm very happy. So far I will stop here changing cameras. Anyways, Z6II, Z7II and Z8 are the best mirrorless camerad Nikon has produced. Hey there! Avid Nikon fan and current shooter with the Z6 II, Z7 II, and all Z glass. I know the F mount glass is in hand and new glass is pricey but Z glass is worth it. Before the Plena 135mm f/1.8S came out, the Z 70-200mm f/2.8S was the best lens in the lineup and since it looks like you had the F version on the camera in the video, so I’d start your upgrade process there or with the 24-70mm f/2.8S. I have both and they make a KILLER combo. As for primes, the 85mm and 35mm f/1.8S lenses are spectacular. I don’t think there’s a bad lens in their lineup, even the Z branded Tamron swaps are good (17-28, 28-75, 75-180).

The CFExpress cards for it are pricey but you can get one big one and multiple V60 64GB or 128GB SD cards, if you’re a dual card shooter. Also, jump to Z lenses, you’ll love yourself for it. Z8/Z9 are more geared for action photography, ie sports and bird/wildlife. Their AF in terms of birds and animal eye focus is much more advanced than what is capable of the Z6 II/Z7 II. The Z6 II is a very capable all around camera in terms of people/event photography, especially with its low light capabilities.

I have watched a few folk on your tube and picked up a few useful ideas and I try them all out to see what suits me and what the camera can do, I love this camera! Everything about the Z6ii seems to be such an improvement, I have noticed the difference with the iso when I bump it up and there is so much less noise, most times no noise, it’s fantastic. I also find that the VR on it works fantastically well too and the images are so much sharper. I have the Ftz2 which is great for my old lenses but I also bought a 24-70 S lens and it is amazing, the photos are so clear and crisp, a great buy there and that is just the big standard lens type. The difference between a full frame and crop sensor is the size of the image that is produced. A full frame is able to capture more, while a crop sensor "crops" the size of the photo. Full frames are usually what professional photographers use, and crop sensors are usually suited more for beginner-intermediate photographers (and aren't quite as expensive)! I would stick with it...there's always a learning curve when you switch cameras, but I am LOVING the better technology and features of the mirrorless camera! Just keep practicing with it! I used to only photograph for fun and family! ;-)
