Really cool variations! I have some points that might help out a bit in making the piece more readable and playable Overall, there are a lot of parts that I'm not sure would be practical with one player on a piano. I didn't see anything that technically impossible, but plenty of thing that are definitely unapproachable to 99% of pianists, especially those who don't have hands the size of Rachmaninov's. Try taking a look at what fingers would be playing what and if they ways this piece demands hands move would be practical or even possible. In Variation 3 (and a few others), the lines across half-notes' stems aren't really necessary as it's an ink-saving notation technique you never really see on piano. It would be a bit more practical to just write out the either notes unless it's absolutely vital for you to save that space or ink, which I don't see as an issue here. The use of square fermatas for long pauses is purely a stylistic choice in a lot of cases. Here, I don't think it's entirely necessary and that normal fermatas would work just as well, but this one doesn't matter too much. Finally, tempo. The theme and variation 4 lend themselves to being played fast, but at the tempo you have the MIDI playing them at, it would take an incredible pianist to come close to that speed. I feel that slowing them down a tad, or even making the tempo more flexible and not so static, would make this 50 times more accessible. Remember that tempo markings like "moderato" and "prestissimo" are how the music should feel and are not exact indicators of how fast something should be.

@@chrisfusion6945 wow, actually I was extremely surprused to see such a long comment, thanks you for spending so much time writing it :) Yeah, this piece is really hard, I was trying to make it possible, but after reading ur comment I realised that last variation is really freaking fast. As for ink-saving technic, I usually write it the way it will look readable, but there I wanted to show a violin so I wrote the beginning as if it were a real violin sheet music. I didn't want to make it unreadable. Long fermatas are used to help musescore understand how to play this, but u'r write, I should show standard fermata instead. But I think this pauses are actually pretty long enough. About the tempo, u'r also right. Sometimes it's too fast. And it's truth that tempo marking and real tempo speed don't really match together. Again, thanks, I'll try to impove! :) (Eng is not my mother tongue, so I can do some mistakes in writing, sorry. Don't think I'm a child or something, haha)

@@Camille_Hargraves those reasons make sense, I'm glad I was able to help. And for formats, you can manually set how long a format of any kind lasts, so you can make a normal format hold for 10 seconds if you want by changing it in properties.

@@boogieboxmusic4331well, it sounds like ai because it's not actually me playing this. That's the musescore player. As for dynamic, why do you think it's so poor? The parts are often contrast in dynamic not only there but in Beethoven's music also (for example sonata no.1, movement 4. You obviously will notice sudden change of key f minor to A-flat major, accomponiment and the dynamic in the beginning). And you mentioned crazy key changes. I don't remember about late Beethoven, I'm not a big fan of this guy, but if you look in works of first romantic pieces, by Chopin or Liszt for example, you will see even more changes. They are in Liszt's chromatic galop or Chopin's etude "Torrent" if you want an example. I think, Beethoven also did this, in his latest works.

@@boogieboxmusic4331 thanks. I will try to improve my music. But for me, music always sounds like something, which already exist. Raindrop prelude, Mephisto waltz, prelude in c sharp minor (by S.V.Rachmaninoff)... All of them can show you an image, and every image is different. Besides, it's just a bunch of pitches, without any words, just magical word "music". Yeah, I write a lot of MY, my own independent music, but it's also important to sometimes keep listener in comfort by playing smth very familiar to him (obviously not to much, of course), so that he can recognize himself in music. Sometimes such pictures of music are like impressionist works, it's more about showing us emotion. And I like to imitate. It also helps me find something interesting for me. I can take some Chopin works, some Rachmaninoff, some Scriabin for example and make my own piece, which consists things that other composers liked. (I'm sorry if my English is bad. I'm familiar with vocabulary, but not with punctuation and sometimes grammar. English isnt me mother tongue)

@Camille_Hargraves
@Camille_Hargraves 17 күн бұрын
@507th
@507th 17 күн бұрын

Thanks bro. That is a great pleasure for me to hear such words. However actually, I think that this piece isn't really written in my style. My works are closely connected with my thoughts and feelings while writing them, even more than my own style. That's why I can sometimes write a nocturne in Chopin's style while being impressed by his works for example. And most of all I think I am a really easily-irritated person and so are some my pieces for example my marches (u can see them in my videos if u want). They can really give a full view of my depressed character. Now, I want to thank u again. U really inspired me. Sorry for this long answer.
