I will be making the same trip in April to board the Allure of the seas, Did you think that the Premium economy was worth the extra money ? Also, where do you recommend staying?
@RamblingWithPhil3 сағат бұрын
It’s kind of subjective but for us it was worth the extra $250 per person that we paid because we used points for the original tickets. We found out it was slightly cheaper to upgrade after boarding but there aren’t always seats available. So if you don’t pre-book, you might be out of luck. The seats recline more and you have more space so that was nice for the 9 hour flight. We would do this again if the price was right. Enjoy your cruise next year! We really enjoyed the Allure and the oasis class ships! Thanks for watching!

@RamblingWithPhil23 күн бұрын
Unless RC tells you to park at a different terminal, you should park at terminal A. For us, this was a special circumstance where the ship was cruising out of terminal A but returning to terminal G. My Miami cruise terminal A video shows what is typically the case when cruising out of Terminal A - here is the link below: Guide to Miami Cruise Terminal A - Rambling with Phil kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i9STjK-YvpetgI0.html

You CAN end up with an obstructed view balcony if you opt for the cheaper options (sometimes) I was told. We booked the Ovation recently and I noticed the balcony staterooms were pretty cheap. I called RCCL, and the agent told me that sometimes if they haven't filled the obstructed view balcony rooms prior to a cruise, they will lower the prices, so beware (they leave that little detail out when you're looking at your "cheap" room online). I paid a little more and he found us an unobstructed balcony. He also told us that because of the way they were designed, the Quantum class ships have the highest percentage of obstructed view balcony staterooms. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to go through an agent. It doesn't cost any more than doing it yourself, and sometimes they have good tips and bargains.
@RamblingWithPhilАй бұрын
Thanks for the great info of your experience! I will have to remember what you said about the quantum class ships.
@biknjakАй бұрын
@@RamblingWithPhil Deck 6 is the worst, because the lifeboats are in decks 5 & 6 area. The Quantum ships balcony decks are inset from the ship's outer hull. Most other ships I've been on had the balcony staterooms as part of the outer "hull", and you usually could see straight down to the waterline (the lifeboats were tucked up "under" the balcony decks). On the Ovation, our straight outward view was unobstructed (deck 9), but when you looked straight down you could see deck 5 and all the lifeboats on it, rather than the waterline below. They're definitely a different design than what we had been on previously (still a beautiful ship, though).

Hi Phil I just wanted to thank you for a few things. The first one is you pointed me in the direction of the sprinter mechanic in Toledo I’ve been driving my van w a loss of power for years. But it so happened that I moved to ohio and has an opportunity to take my van there. The second thing is that… now I want the same seats you installed. I didn’t know they existed. The third thing is Niagara Falls. It wasn’t on my radar but thanks to you I can’t wait to go there. Thanks a bunch. I wished you would do a video on your story. How you come to travel so much and why you, like me chose a twenty year old van. I was considering getting something else but your videos have reignited my t1n dreams Take care and safe travels

Hello! I’m doing a NCL Alaska cruise in a couple months! I made the mistake of booking a massage at 9am the day we are cruising through glacier bay. 😂 What is the timeline of cruising through glacier bay? Will we be traveling through the glaciers all day or is it just a short period of time? Will I miss a lot of the glaciers while I’m having my massage? Thanks for any info!
@RamblingWithPhil3 ай бұрын
If I recall, that experience started around 6am & we were done around 3-ish. Not sure how long your session is in the spa but … It’s basically one way in and then one way out so you might catch the same views in the opposite direction. So you may be ok depending on how long your session is. Thanks for watching & for your comment!
