@@texasgardenguy Do... do you _see_ how they look alike though? They are gorgeous darling! How big can they actually get, in the wild I mean? No wait, perhaps in a collection like an aviary garden or indoor greenhouse type setting? You know what I mean, maybe?

They can get huge. There are some in Thailand that are hundred of years old and can be up to 15ft tall and 8feet around
@Digitalhunny12 сағат бұрын
@@texasgardenguy Ohhhhh, let's all _go_ to Thailand, just to hug an 8 foot round tree, shall we? Sorry, desert rose that is almost a tree? 🤣🤣 That'd be an awesome short video for your channel, eh?! The vacation to Thailand would be pretty sweet too. We'd all have such a hard time figuring out what plants we're allowed to send home! Um, wait this would be a horrible trip, you'd have to leave _so_ many beautiful, amazing plants behind. You know, like that one, whole entire section of rain forest, that you fell maddly in love with? I can hear you trying to sell it to your partner, "But honey, it's... it's *only* 2 acres? Just think about growing all those cuttings & the seeds!" 🤯 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You said its "Called a Lithop, or a living stone" but its actually called a Lithops. A Lithop is not a real thing. Singular is Lithops. Plural is also Lithops

@Phil's Figs I'm wondering if my grandma's old way of keeping animals out of her garden would work to keep your squirrels away. She had the aluminum pie plates hung on strings attached to a stick of different heights all around her garden. That kept the deer, squirrels & birds out. The reflection of the aluminum plus the movement with any slight breeze worked. Hope you see this little tip and wish you success!!! (Cog Hill faithful viewer)

I had 20 yards dumped from living earth 3 years back. Its sad they closed the Dickinson location 😢 im in need of a load. Not economical to buy by the foot on my scale 😢. It has been great compost. First season was incredible productive!

THAT was fun. Had to catch the replay but it felt Live! Great collab with you 4. “Jason’s got enough followers.”🤣 He deserves every single one. I love Tracy’s medicinal herb and potagere garden tours and teaching. They are great guests. Phil’s info on figs is always so helpful. Been following the Jemison gang since the shutdown. The tomato 🍅 and basil 🌱advice and varieties was really good too. I was also making my list, 📋 Dustin. I never thought I’d hear a southerner say they weren’t growing okra! I hope these GP Lives continue. From CA central coast 🏖️take care.

I'm in Green Bay Wisconsin and I planted a Chicago Fig 3 years ago. The deer love it so I fenced it in. It still hasn't produced fruit. Thinking I might have to cover it with straw for winter this year. Still hoping for it to produce.

One of my favorite recipes for okra is a "stew" with tomatoes, onions, and garlic.

I love citrus trees, the draw back here in Houston is the few days of below freezing temperature we get each year. Lime trees seemed to be more sensitive to freeze than some of the other citrus such as myer lemon, orange, grapefruit. One might mulch it heavily and protect the roots to at least keep the roots alive should the branches become damaged by the freeze. The other option is to plant it in a big pot and move it into the garage when temp dips below 32.

Tracy as a teenager, in the mid 70s we went to Mt Washington when the old Man of the Mountain was still there,( its since fallen away) we went in the middle of August and the bottom of the mountain it was 83% and we took the tram to the top and it was snowing and 28%! We were In shorts and T-shirts and couldn't wait to get into the welcome center on the top of the mountain.

I love all you guys! Squirrels kill all the dirt in my flowerbeds. Then the flowers die anyway. Mint and netting around my flower tower are ok. But here it rains a lot so I have to redo the mint spray over again. Then I found ground squirrels there too. Cayenne works too but the same problem. Lots of dogs here but all on leases. We have a lot of crows too. Minnesota. Issues.
