I mostly use Fabriano Artistico, 300 gsm, 100 cotton, cold or hot press. In this video as I recall it was cold press

Very well explained, thank you!!! It was a strange and uncomfortable experience using it for the first time as I'd only used cold press paper. I hated how it felt. I think knowing how to work with hot press will make painting more enjoyable. I love your style, it's so beautiful and ethereal. I'm looking forward to trying some of your tutorials!!!

With your tutorial, my dahlia turned out well, after a couple of failures following another artist. But I couldn't achieve that beautiful cafe au lait color you describe. Could you please advise how to mix paints to get this color? Also, should the petals dry before I paint the second layer? Thank you for this beautiful tutorial, Olga.

Hi Yulia! Glad it was helpful! Just experiment with your pink and orange paints and water amount and you will find your best mix! To make more define petals, it’s better to dry the previous layer

Do you have a good advice to cut different sizes out of a big sheet of watercolor paper so that you get the best cuts out of ohne sheet? The size is 56x76.

I think it’s very personal. Someone likes smaller sizes, someone bigger. You can cut it in half and one half into halves again
