The voice of Tiny Tom was also the voice of Buzz from "Frankenstein, Jr." Nice to see these cartoons I haven;t seen since they were originally aired sixty years ago! Having seen a bunch of the Lone Ranger Cartoons, I should have kept track of how many times Tiny Tom was captured!

After veiwing several of these toons you can see where Roddenberry may have gotten some ideas from. Cmd. Scott. Uhura. Voyager probe episode. And even Space Ghost. For 1962 they are really pretty good.

You would think, the story being set in the future and all, that someone would either get McLeod a good prosthetic eye... or be able to give him a new one.

I watched these episodes as a ten year old.. I concluded that the episodes were a combination of The Lone Ranger and The Wild Wild West. This was because of the technology was ahead of the circa 1870-1880 time period. The dragon was the equivalent of a modern day armored personnel carrier.

Looks like Tiny Tom got it in the end alright, and got whacked in the BEHIND by the Lone Ranger right there.

Unfortunately a good chunk of this show including the true first episode “a man named guppy” were lost a long time ago. Only five full 30 minute episodes out the produced 18 were saved, and even then the surviving episodes only exist as 9 minute segments.

"Bear Claw's great strength proved to be his greatest weakness. He thought brute force could prevail against right, it never does." - The Lone Ranger
@AldenRDavis5 ай бұрын
Bear Claw (1829-1877) was born Jean-Jacques Renard in Calgary, Alberta. His family had a little formal education, with the exception of his younger brother, Jericho (1838-1875), who taught himself to read and write courtesy of a neighboring farmhand. Jean-Jacques became a lumberjack, but his mighty temper cost him his job and friends. While watching a bear kill a deer with its mighty claws, Jean-Jacques and Jericho creates a pair of claws that provided extra strength to Jean-Jacques' powerful arms. His crimes prompted the settlers to call him "Bear Claw." After Jericho's death and his arrest by the Lone Ranger, Jean-Jacques died in his jail cell of a massive heart attack in August, 1877. His last words were" "My Bear Claws are not used to the pain. Morphine! Morphine!"

She does sounds like the witch on the Bugs Bunny cartoons. Because it is! June Foray. She died at the age of 99 and June was the Emmy-winning voice of Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Natasha Fatale, Granny (of Tweety Bird fame), Cindy Lou Who, Nell Fenwick, Jokey Smurf, Lucifer the Cat (from Disney's Cinderella), etc.
