Nice! Does this respect the point index/id? if I subdivided, then deformed the mesh, then unsubdivided, would the modified shape be retained?

yes, but initial points/prim ids should respect catmull-clark rules yes, it will retain shape!

3 months of R&D to build the system from scratch and adapt to the pipeline. The simulation, about 1h each 120 frames.

YOU SHOULD MAKE A PAID TUTORIAL ABOUT Houdini muscle and tissue STEP BY STEP. I WOULD BUY IT AND POSSIBLY 200 PEOPLE THAT FOLLOW YOU AS WELL.

Throughout the video I thought that the underwater footage was real life footage that you were comparing the 3D motion to.. then I realized that it was actually rendered! Incredibly well done!

no, it is a custom system I did myself , using vellum+ fem+carbon solver for different stages .

Your work is so amazing. The basic of this topic can be a great course in multiple weeks of training on the basic into intermediate. Hope in the future there will be something realistic like this teaching out there
