I saw one bird. It asked not to be photographed. I had to honor the request.

This delightful video put me right into the action. Loved the stare-down from the bird with the red eye!

Hello, I work with the City of Loveland Office of Communications and Engagement. With the 10-year anniversary coming up of the 2013 flood in Loveland, we’re putting together a video sharing community stories surrounding the events. We saw your video here and wondering if we can use it in our video? The video we’re producing about the 2013 flood will be released in September around the 10-year anniversary date and will be shared with the community on our local City of Loveland television and social media channels. We’re happy to credit you for the footage if you’d like. Thank you and let us know if you have any questions.

Boy have turtle lovers everywhere been waiting for this!!! i WAS THERE ON THIS T-dAY AND CAN VOUCH THAT THESE WERE ACTUAL LIVE (mostly) SEA TURTLES. These were laid on this beach within last 24-36 hrs ,400 per mother (+/- 0.5 turtles). Staff digs them up and RELEASES all at once while onlookers keep predator birds away (although there were none that I saw). In 7 years only 1 per 1000 will survive and will make post-coital journey to this exact spot to drop their load of T-eggs (a 5 star resort-what turtle wouldnt?). The rest are eaten by ocean critters, get turtle covid, or perhaps prefer to beach elsewhere. Doc LAR
