Coach Frank is the epitome of a great coach. He's disciplined, fair, intelligent, and strategic. There's a reason his players would run through a wall for him. Keep up the great work coach!

Coach Wall was a really good assistant coach to have at Ranger Junior college. Really supportive for players, and not afraid to tell you when you're wrong.

we did 1.5 mi under 10 minutes, 1 mile under 6 minutes at Ranger JC, then I did 33 33's with only 33 seconds rest at Wayland Baptist. Coach Wall would get in the gym and shoot with us and teach us fun games to play. I do also remember our practice jerseys being wet and cold a few times... We played a match-up zone with Larry Brown that year at Ranger. I still couldn't tell you what we did on offense but by God, Antwan Scott would score for all of us.

@@jamodipodcast The Grinnell system felt intuitive to me. I wanted to play that way in HS (95-99) but our coaches wanted to play the ball control style. I feel vindicated because knowing that our HS's talent pool was too weak and could not match other schools in height and IQ. The Grinnell style would have gotten all 18 of our players involved (there were no cuts in basketball at our Jesuit HS) and overall we would have had more fun. In hindsight it is pretty bitter sweet.

Thanks for sharing your first experiences with Differential Learning. There are only two problems with the theoretical underpinning. First, DL has nothing to do with the fashion movement of Ecological Dynamics that is mainly a renaming of old theories mixed with an amalgamation of contradictory and outdated theories. Second, the quote of Bernstein on "repetition without repetition" (RWR) was different than what is recommended by DL. RWR saw the impossibility of identical repetitions but did not draw any consequence out of this. For RWR the DL would not be possible because this still would have been considered executing errors. For further progress in your training towards individualized DL, I would recommend learning about the Action Type System approach developed by Bertrand Theraulaz and Ralph Hipolite.

Wolfgang… how would you suggest practicing shooting for maximum results if not this DL approach?
@wolfgangschoellhorn3679
@wolfgangschoellhorn3679 9 ай бұрын
This can be considered as DL - but DL has nothing to do with ED or CLA. First, the beginnings of them were copies of DL and DL refuses the affordances and representativeness because of fundamental contradictions and because of being outdated for more than 50 years. @@chadlove4651
