I don't think Archie was so racist. He wasn't a hater, he just put people into different boxes based on their background/skin color. People still do that today, and not just whites. I was listening to this song a couple of weeks ago without the Edith tribute and almost immediately started thinking about Edith and Archie! I think its an awesome tribute to her. You have to be goodhearted to be married to Archie! Although he could be quite loving in a few scenes. I think the tribute was mostly about Edith Thanks for sharing

Lol, my kids are weird eaters also , 42 yr old daughter eats like Mike, 1 item at at a time , my 34 yr old daughter has to have an individual fork /spoon for every item, my 33 yr old son puts hidden valley ranch on appx. 75% of the items he eats , my 39 yr old son is the only normal eater in the bunch like my wife & I , lol

See this scene highlighted as much as Mike presented himself as a liberal minded progressive guy behind closed doors when he was eating, at one of his most vulnerable moments, he kept his dinner segregated. Much like the faux liberals of today with their bleeding heart NIMBYism. Meanwhile Archie was gruff but again when hes eating he's got the food all integrated. Archie was in the right!

In many ways Archie is right things like sandwiches, pizza , & burritos taste great because the food is mixed. On the other hand when given a plate of food where everything was presented seprately I tend to eat like Mike all of one thing then all of the next savoring the full flavor of each item.
