I love sitting back and listen to you talk. I don't have time to spend playing video games all day now that I'm 28 years old but listening to you talk just for 20 minutes while gaming in those brief periods is kinda nice. Thanks for being you. :)

I mean trophies are just another aspect of a game, you could say anything is a waste of time, literally anything. A game is a sort of competitive action against the computer, you collect things in the game, so I mean by just playing the game for fun, you can squire trophies also for fun, fun is subjective. Now there are certain trophies that are insanely time wasting because the developers can be total A-holes and make these trophies insanely time wasting to get, those are definitely wasted time, but hey, one person might see those as fun, maybe they only want to play one game and plan it to death, how is that wasted time if they had fun? Playing one game vs multiple games, I mean, one’s not really time wasted over the other, it’s totally subjective.

I love The End Is Nigh but the cartridges just suck the fun out of getting the achievments. I'm not trying to beat 40 levels without dying, i just want to stop caring about it

Im at 1680 platinums atm trying to be the best of the Netherlands. now I’m at place 17 of it. But yes I understand that the easy games is ruining it a bit and is not very rewarding but yeah if a game is in a sale instead of €4 it’s like €2 than I always buy them . I have like 80% games that you can complete in like 1/2 hours but I also love the grind for very hard games . Like call of duty’s fifa and now trying to go for gta 5 and I always think it’s fun that every 50 games is like a milestone on psnprofiles so I do at least every 50 games 1 game that is like under 10/15% so that looks a bit nicer I think

I usually don’t go for the platinums, I just like playing games but admittedly I like getting trophies cause you feel like you accomplished the game, especially if you’re trying to beat a hard level or fighting a boss fight and winning I think that deserves a trophy itself

I’ve seen and heard a ton of toxicity especially towards gamers that play “easy” games. Never understood the hate…. Just let people play what they want with their money, time, and profile.

loveee seeing a new player enjoy the game for the first time, reminds me of myself a few years ago lol. while i'm not as experienced as the others here, I will say that youtube has been my mentor for many years now 😃😃😃 the two channels I would recommend for tutorials are Inters3ct and TheOtherFrost. Inters3ct is a solo main that has a lot of guides on conquest, builds, and other neat little fun facts and tips and tricks, don't be afraid to dig deeper into his videos to find certain guides or topics, while TheOtherFrost has a bit more unique of a type of guide, going over unique mechanics and thought processes that a good smite player should have (his smite videos right now are unlisted though, so you'll have to go to playlists on the channel to find them. you don't have to watch them all but I have lmao and they're really helpful.) cheers!

As someone who recently started trophy hunting after getting a new ps, platnium hunting is addicting, i even joined a few forums for help with the god awful multiplayer trophies, and i can honestly say most of the people i meet are just straight on egomaniacs, i met a guy who bragged about platniuming all the dark souls games... like okay bro. Good stuff but did i ask?

I don’t know if it’s a glitch, or something about the Xbox version, but I’m at 100%, and still no platinum trophy. The only other trophy I do not have yet is the gold relic on Stormy Accent. WTH!?

Alright mate. This isn’t related to the video, but I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of years now and I’ve seen your love for outriders. So I thought I’d give it a go, especially as it’s free. Safe to say I’m 28 hours in and absolutely loving it. This is me with FF7 Rebirth right now...158 hours in; all I have left are 10 of Chadley's Simulations (Brutal Rulers and the 9 Legendary) plus a hard mode playthrough. I am struggling to do it...

This is an interesting subject to think about because as someone who's been generally lurking around the trophy community for over a decade at this point I've actually observed an interesting trend away from the toxicity in recent years and I have 3 main ideas as to why (though of course toxicity still exists, it's just more clearly a minority now) 1) New wave of trophy hunters - Okay, so for this first one we have to go back, way back to when achievements and trophies first started and remember for the most part they had no real mainstream response, it was, without trying to sound a total ass... dominated by incel weirdos who's entire identity revolved around being a 'hardcore gamer', these achievements presented them an opportunity to now flex their feats with evidence. Slowly over time there has been some improvements in wider appeal but the big one was more recent, Covid... a LOT of people jumped into trophy hunting during Covid who were more casual and had lives beyond gaming prior to being locked indoors, this wave paired with the already gradual improvement in popularity naturally over the years begun to outnumber the old crowd. 2) Toxic circlejerk clubs - This leads on from the last a little bit. With a new audience seemingly outnumbering them, those who are those lil' toxic shitheads decided rather than post and get dunked on by masses of people (I see it on PSNP sometimes when someone tries to be obnoxiously toxic lol) they instead ran away to their own Discord groups etc. where their criteria to join requires you to basically be one of them, their own little echo chambers away from the 'normie casuals'. This means other sites can feel a little less toxic since all they've done is moved most their activity elsewhere. You still see them from time to time, but notable toxic members on these sites have really low recent post counts compared to days of old and yet they're still very clearly actively trophy hunting and have groups they're in to boost etc. The toxic comments are just mostly happening behind our backs I guess (does that make it better? lol, idk) 3) Content creators - Yeah, you're part of this too. Back in the day the only content trophy related were poorly researched click bait top 10 videos and trophy guides. As mentioned in number 1 with the kind of folk who generally went for trophies back in the day a lot of them lacked any real personality to even try making content. But, with a fair number of reasonably popular channels within this community acting as, I guess, role models for it nowadays does help to perpetuate a more positive overall community. It also opens the door for bad apples to get spotlighted in a way they hadn't before if they stepped too far out of line, you often see some folk cry how they are 'too afraid to say what they think' because 'sensitive woke-y crybabies' are going to come for them 😅 which translates to 'my toxic opinion is in the minority and I don't want to say it and see everyone disagree and call me out so I'll stay quiet and pretend I'm the silent majority'. Actually wait... 4) Maturing - Okay, so I had just thought of this too. This isn't going to be everyone but I guess I should give credit where it's due. Some people just grew up, stopped being toxic little weirdos and developed a more mature approach to being in this community. Some veterans of this scene have some cringe posts if you dig back far enough but today are considered positive pillars of the community. Guess that's worth acknowledging. Maybe I'm wrong, I haven't engaged or posted much inside the trophy community personally but I have sat back and watched for, like I mentioned, over a decade now. I've seen lots of faces come and go and think I've got a decent degree of observation done in those years. As for those who say the community is still mostly toxic, I think there's two main camps for that belief. The first being the ones who *are* the toxic ones 😅 toxicity breeds toxicity, they need to look in the mirror... and the second being those who probably felt bullied out by the toxicity a while back and haven't returned to see how things have improved. It's not perfect, there's bad apples a plenty but it's so much improved from what it once was.

The most toxic i've ever seen the community was when Wolfenstein 2 came out, all because of the Mein Leben trophy. It's alot better now as folks have moved on, but when that first emerged it was a bit of a hellscape.

Got banned from this leaderboard website, because it recognized i'm using a hacked PS3 console for Platinums. Well rip xD Good thing my actual playstation account is still alive and nothing bad happened. But i got like 690 Platinum (80% of them being only PS3 games)

My very first experience with trophy hunting was toxic. I was chatting with some guy over fb and shared with him when i got my first platinum four years ago, which was NieR automata and i was feeling good. His response was "so what, I got four." Yikes, what a lovely introduction to the community... Also, out of grudge.. Going for 70 now, choke on your 4 dude :'D

As someone who's been playing smite for about a decade I will give anyone advice on the in game 100% achievements. Don't even bother, it will take you thousands of hours over years and then you'll have to keep playing for every new achievement. But also do it because the game, despite its plentiful flaws, is great

I’m here to help, the web swinging is actually responsive. The way it works is how close you are to the thing you want to swing too. Which is why you sometimes fall to your death cause the thing is to far away.
