I remember this performance. I was blown away. I had such a crush on him, the clothing, the hair, the beats the moves and they slick way he sang! Oh Adam! Diana please, you were so rude to steal his thunder. I noticed how he kept looking over to see if she'd come back. lol not cool

@myabsynthedream In fact she did him a favour by showing the audience that it was completely ok for him to sing her song. Don't forget that it was MOTOWN 25 and that Diana Ross & The Supremes were going to reunite later on in that show so evrybody in that audience must have thought it was strange for 1. an English artist coming to celebrate Motown 25 and 2. for singing The Supremes' first #1 hit.

Just watched the whole 7 parts, thanks for uploading this ... I have no idea what planet I was on through the late '90's, but I seem to have missed some seriously amazing music. Roger is amazing!

Roger had a lot of desire to get the remaining 3 band members together again....but that never happened, did it? It's a shame really and then again, Queen has remained strong in music cd sales and is huge in the minds and souls of its fans, and has grown in popularity over the years, even more so with the loss of Freddie. It's actually amazing, the lasting power that Queen has achieved! Amazing! We still love you Queen!

I am a big Soft Cell fan but Adam's version of this song is sooooo much hotter!!! I've been watching this vid now for more than 20 times in a row and still can't get enough of it. I am 41 but in love with Adam like a teenager ;-)

I actually learned that it was at Michael Jackson's insistence that Adam perform at this event. Apparently MJ was a big fan of Adam's work and persuaded Motown to include the Dandy Highwayman.

oh hells ya! adam rocked it!!!! and diana was too cool for makin that special appearance on stage like that! classic footage of an awesome entertainer who puts most to shame to this day! he could even rock motown baby!!!!

it took them awhile to cheer then, they must have had No clue who he was back then, and im not sure how into the new romantic getup America was at the time. but he won em over. he is that damn good :D

Sorry,wrong,you CAN stand on a fractured femur.I worked 50 hrs weeks/plus gym w/ fractured femur/3 mths before diagnosed(1st dr said was pulled muscle)was hairline fracture,later found out biggest bone in body.Head of femur where femur meets hip.I was limping around like that,working etc,before the operation w/no clue!Some people when need be,endure huge amounts of pain.That's what Adam was doing.Doing his job!The show must go on. Imagine the prima donas of today?Canceled Concerts!

Oh my goodness! I had such a crush on adam ant when i was younger!!! haha. other than the fact that he messes up during that song and is coked (or whatever) out if his mind it remains one of my favs!!
