I don't why they called him pretty boy, cause he definitely wasn't, same goes for baby face Nelson. During that time John dillinger was the best looking one. Clyde barrow, had big ears and looked kind of slow.

I do not like the disrespectful Tone of the interviewer’s voice. Like this old lady was working for her, or something. (And the way she pronounced the word “Black.” Annoying.)

❤her voice and listening to her speak about motivating education made me want to go back to school and finish. I could listen to her, Morgan Freeman and James E. Jones forever just talking about anything❤

A national treasure, as have been mark twain, h l mencken, george carlin, christopher hitchens, chomsky, chris hedges, michael parenti, and a few others. All these guys ought to be studied in the school history classes, with howard zinn the key textbook.

Things were more interesting and slightly more hopeful 15-20 years ago when characters like Gore Vidal, and Christopher Hitchens were alive. Public intellectuals who were well versed in history and actually gave a damn about society. They spoke their minds and didn't give a damn what anyone thought of them. They are sorely missed and the country is much bleaker without their presence and voices of integrity.

Had a chance to talk with Mr. Farmer on a Greyhound Bus in Virginia way back in the early 1980s. He loved talking with young people which I was at the time. What a champion of basic civil and human rights.

Hamilton Fish III wrote a book sympathetic to the Nazis shortly after Hitler came to power. In 1941, the FBI had begun to investigate some Senators and Members of Congress who had been paid by the Nazis to give speeches in the Congress. One of the Nazi agents bribing American Legislators was George Sylvester Viereck. When the FBI arrived that Mr. Vireck's house to investigate, a member of Hamilton Fish's staff was seen exiting the back of the house with several bags of documents. Fish was thereafter investigated by the FBI, which found that he had also been paid by Nazis to mail Nazi propaganda to his constituents and others. Hamilton Fish III was eventually convicted of corrupt perjury. He was not re-elected in 1944 and never served again. However, as a scion of a prominent NY political family, he continued some minimal involvement by writing - always in support of the extreme right wing in the U.S.

I met Melvin Belli on the phone-I worked in the Sonoma County Jail at the time. I also met a very old gentleman at a bus stop in Healdsburg, who told me he was writing a book about riding the rails. I didn’t catch his name

His track record is one of subtle support for communism. I could hardly get through “Burr.” So full of made up stuff. Spent almost a whole page talking about Washington’s big rear end. Consistent with his fetishes.

These people doing this interview are seriously embarrassing!! Kudos to this man for being so patient with them. She is cutting him off and at one time corrected him and told him how to refer to his grandfather in the story. The audience knew who he was referring to, she was completely inappropriate.
