I think the worst thing for me as I am petrified of flying is the lack of control in case of something bad or dangerous starting to happen. In a vehicle I have grabbed the wheel as a passenger a few times in my lifetime as the driver either didnt notice something or his/her reaction to something about to happen was too slow. There is absolutely no way to save myself on a plane if things start to go bad.
