expensive setup for something that a bigger traktor controller could probably also handle ;)

A bigger Traktor controller doesn’t have the eq/filter section and sound quality of the Model 1.4. The workflows of bigger Traktor controllers aren’t great either, having two side by side X1 controllers and then a seperate mixer allows for a much faster workflow due to hand placement and how close together all the knobs and buttons are.

I see that you switched from using a Xone 96 to Model 1 mixer. Having tried both, which one do you like more?

Hey, I personally like the Model 1.4 more, but both mixers have their benefits and I wouldn’t be opposed to owning a 96 again in the future. The filters on each channel are a bit better for my style of mixing than the Xone 96 eq. The connectivity on the 96 is better though, as you don’t need an external sound card to connect it with Traktor. The fader curve on the Model 1.4 is a bit weird. I miss the fader curve on the 96, and I’ve been tempted to go back based on this reason alone. Sound wise, I can’t differentiate between the two. Any other questions, just let me know!

hello . I want to configure my setup like yours, I am waiting for my second x1 mk2 to mix with 3 or 4 decks. Could you explain to me how you have configured it in the program? Thanks in advance

Hey, when you plug in your 2nd x1 it will allow you to select the decks to control on the controller. I set mine up A/B on the left one and then C/D on the right one. You will also need to setup your Traktor in the settings to show 4 decks. Let me know if you have any other questions with setting them up! Hope you enjoy my mixes!

You don't have to map the cone:96, it is Traktor certified out of the box. You just have to download the driver, then plug it the usb cable in the mixer and your laptop and you are ready to start. Internally you can freely map the channel to the way it fits best your needs, so that you have 6 stereo in- /outputs plus you can decide if the master output should be routed digitally to the laptop. Hope that helps a little
