Thank you so much for this. Mine arrived from Costco yesterday. I wont even open it, it is going back! Im dying just hearing you say all we have to do. I rather spend money on the 2 tank Cedar Mop bucket😊

Just curious, does your 5 min after mopping, cleaning of the device outweights the time and effort of you manually cleaning the house with the traditional broomstick way?

I guess I wished I watched your video before purchasing it. But I think I will still keep it. Moping is hard for me. I can do it but not as frequent. I think with Tineco I can wash my floor every week. Thanks for the honest review :)

Thank you for this, I’ll stick with my vacuum and steam mop. Cleaning that thing seems awful, and more work than actually cleaning the floors.

Vac mops are game changers for kid vomit 😆 I actually preferred the bissel crosswave for cleaning, however it left streaks on my floor after a few days and a lot more water. I love my tinco. But I do hate cleaning it.

Thx for the honest review. I don’t have much space to clean so this helped me determine that I probably don’t need to spend that much money. 😂

Olá, sou do Brasil, comprei tineco s5, descobri depois que é muito caro o produto de limpeza, tem alguma outra dica de produto? Sera que jogar desinfetante direto no chao nao precisaria colocar o produto dentro do reservatório?

When, after self-cleaning, I take out the roller to dry, I do not replace it with another dry one, the tineco simply charges without the roller. but while charging, the engine seems to be working quietly and the power icon appears once from left to right, then a break and again until it reaches 100%, is it supposed to be like that??

I'm sorry, I'm not really sure. My machine while it still works no longer announces when it is doing things and sometimes stops mid clean.

Thanks for your honest review. I found everything you said to be true just by watching tons of videos and reading reviews, which helped me make up my mind to purchase one. None of the cons mentioned are a con for me because I anticipated this due to research. Especially the hair bit. I have a cat and have had a couple of standard vacuums die due to cat hair, so I planned on sweeping before using this. I'm upgrading from 2 Bissell steam mops that both died. I LOVE the idea of mopping my entire home without using 6 - 8 mop pads to do so, and having to wash and dry the mop pads for the next usage. My Tineco S5 steamer will arrive tomorrow, and I'm super excited!

Try using a non foaming cleaner. Persil and sunova have good options for carpets and hard floors, disinfectant and cleaners without scent. They are much cheaper with that lasts longer.

I have the Second gen Tineco Ibreeze, and am constantly frustrated with how it deals with hair. I was wondering whether upgrading to an S5 pro would fix that, and now I know it won't. So the next vacuum wont be Tineco.

You normally wouldn't sweep and mop with a regular mop. You'd sweep first then mop. Same thing with this machine. Less to stuff to clean up in the machine after and easier
@Richard-mq7wf
@Richard-mq7wf Ай бұрын
I TOTALLY don't agree with your assessment of cleaning the machine. I pull the cover off, rinse it off; rinse the tank out in the sink; wipe the back roller channel with a paper towel and it's DONE! That's it. Just use a lil bit of bleach and hot water whenever you use the machine and you don't need to pull the roller out to dry. This is 10x easier than using any mop/bucket system.

You are shocked that you have to rinse it out? What did you expect to do with the dirty water and crumbs?
@happilyeverchristie
@happilyeverchristie 14 күн бұрын
I think the more shocking part is cleaning the bottom side and even having to reach in to get hair and crumbs. I figured running the cleaning cycle multiple times would flush that all out so I would just have to dump out the water.

Appreciate your honesty and thanks for sharing. Definitely helpful for me in deciding if it's th3 right solution. I've one question though.. Does the hair get tangled in the roller? Thanks again!
@happilyeverchristie
@happilyeverchristie 14 күн бұрын
I havent found that it gets tangled in the roller. I have found that it sometimes rolls up the hair and spits it out (specifically my cats hair) and with my hair it stretches it out flat onto the floor. I have found going over the hair a few times will get it to suck up.

The clean up afterwards might be a lot but considering the elbow grease you need to clean your house as spotless I’d rather just clean up the vacuum afterwards. Might take the same amount of time overall to clean up but if I have energy to do other stuff afterwards, I’d take the vacuum

I dont think enough attention is brought to the after clean. Love this video. So these are marketed as there is a spill pick it up w the vaccuum but if u do a lot are a hassle to clean after and the dry time. So its notso easy i thought it was supposed to dry itself. Or self clean so it makes u think u just empty the tank not all the extra pieces

Great video! --- We've been using a different brand model for 2 years now, and same experience with the cleaning effort. Looks like these companies aren't there yet with their wet vacuums. I'd rate this extra effort even more important than the quality of the clean, or "how many passes to clean up xyz".

Thanks for the review. My opinion is that I would have to clean my regular mop and bucket, which takes the same amount of time as this, if not less time. As far as fine wood/construction dust, I dont think most vacuums are made to clean that up. Shop vacs are. For example, dry wall dust will ruin filters on regular vacuums, and I would assume the same for this machine. I just bought my S5 Pro 2. There is a tag to register the unit, and you get a free bottle of cleaning solution - just pay shipping. This machine is more quiet then my shark navigator vacuum, and it has way less noise than the crosswave.

I just sent back my tineco s5 steam 🫤 i thought it was a great idea too but i couldn't use it anymore bcz they put a drain plug in the clean water tank and if it comes out you cant reach inside there to put it back in. I was really sad 😢 but i couldn't justify keeping it bcz of this flaw even if they sent a new clean water tank bcz what if it happened again and it wasnt under warranty anymore?

I own the s3 with no issues. I prefer the machine over mop and bucket. I can go over many reasons why the machine is ten times better. Any machine out there needs maintenance. I do not find this to be a con. It literally takes me 3 minutes to clean it. Look forward in receiving my s6 for my other house.

I have a similar vacuum-mop and I agree the cleanup after using the machine is a lot of work. This is really a mop appliance. If you dry-vacuum your floors first you avoid most of the hair getting stuck everywhere in the vac-mop but then you are no longer vacuuming and mopping at the same time. When I am just cleaning 1 or 2 rooms I find the Bissell SpinWave is less cleanup. I vacuum first, then use the SpinWave to mop. After I'm done I empty the remaining clean water and throw the dirty mop pads in the laundry basket to wash with my towels.

The crumb catcher is completely unnecessary. There is no reason anything needs to be caught in that rather than just going into the dirty water tank to be dumped out.
