Awesome stream, but just curious flipping the switch, how much do you think Switch 2 will sell? Because tons of journalists and ytbers are once saying Switch 2 not only won't surpass Switch, but they also think it's gonna be the next wii U. And btw some even say if Switch 2 does not sell as good as switch, then it's a flop smh.

Most game journos are idiots. Its hard to gauge how much it will sells, but it will almost certainly fall short of the OG Switch. However that does not mean it will be a failure. The Economic Environment the Switch2 will inherit will be very different than the environment of the Switch. And that means the Win Condition will also be different.

Omg Rad, the SAME thing happened to me, too. And it makes me sad, because Luigi is one of my all-time favorite characters, too. My problem with LM3 is that it’s very, very samey. As I continued to progress, the type of environments changed, but essentially the puzzles and how they were being solved, didn’t. I ended up losing interest roughly halfway through and haven’t gone back to it. The game itself is GORGEOUS, and it runs extremely well.

I will always have fondness for the ability to play a number 2 as that is my Gaming Origin Story lol! This game was a fantastic Managed Risk that really blew up the franchise for Nintendo in the best possible way! looking forward to what comes next for everyone's favorite Number 2!

I wish I had started with either the Wii version or the Switch version. But because I played the 3DS version first, I felt like I got off on a stutter-start, and it took me way too long to get into the series (despite my childhood love of the work of Tetsuya Takahashi). But now I'm 100% on board. This is a fantastic review, Zoo!!

Great video flipping the Switch! Xenoblade Chronicles was that game that got me into jrpgs even more, and heck I played it on new 3ds, not a great port but I love how you can play Xenoblade on the go. Also here are some nitpicks I have with the video : 1. Xenoblade Chronicles was already localized in Europe on 2011,the problem was Nintendo of America to be exact, they were super reluctant on localizing niche games and jrpgs. And even though Nintendo denied operation rainfall was the reason but the operation did made many jrpg gamers together and raise interests with other niche jrpgs that have yet to localized. Also man it was a mature and logical fan movement, unlike nowadays lol. 2. This game was also a breakout game for monolithsoft because at the time they did not have any stellar games, just supporting Nintendo first party games. And at the time Nintendo was very lacking behind with their own jrpgs, the Wii wasn't really the problem imo. 3. late 2000s to early 2010s was also a pretty bad era for jrpgs as well. Final fantasy xiii and xiv weren't doing well. Many jrpgs gets censored, even have 4kids level of voice acting at times. Not selling well in general, got despised by western media etc. (look at lost odyssey). So Xenoblade Chronicles was actually the game that revived the jrpg genre in the 2010s, not Persona 5 lol. 4. I don't think a multi-player Xenoblade is actually Gina work lol, I think many will get bored and it's an open world game meaning people can get lost easily lol. 5. Definitive Edition looks better, no ifs or buts about it lol. Those say the anime style looks worse are mostly the same dudes who dislike pyra and mythra in xc2. Or those who likes to emulate Xenoblade Chronicles Wii in 4k. 6. Idk why there's no tomb stone added in xcde, such a miss opportunity and fix the level ceiling problem that you mention. Also xcde side quests are mostly just chores, only a few have actual good story. So there you have it, hope my long essay didn't bother you, again thanks for the video!i hope you can make a vid about xc2 next lol.

Hey, man, LOVED hearing your thoughts! 1. Yeah that is true and I could have been clearer about that fact. Appreciate the Critique as Communication is the responsibility of the sender. 2 and 3.I agree Wii was def not the problem, they pulled the plug way too soon on that to go into the expensive HD Gen, I actually suspect part of the reason that Xeno was able to buck the trend of Linear JRPGs is precisely because of the money saved by not having to render in HD at the dawn of the HD Era. That gen was SO expensive! Agree that Persona 5 Gets too much credit for reviving JPRGs. Great Game tho, Review incoming on that one soon(ish) 4.YEah, I could see peeps getting bored, but the combat really seems to be an almost MMO style with Single Player. 5.I dug the new style, too. 6.THIS!!! What a great idea to have 2's Tombstones in 1! WHY didn't they do this? Hire this person ASAP! ....And finally I will DEF be doing a Xeno 2 Review! I promised Nishquik Pops lol!

And yeah if you ask oj he will say the same thing, NoA during Wii and even Wii U and 3ds era, they treat jrpgs kinda bad, localization was slow and they were mostly on 3ds. Wii U barely has any jrpgs aside xcx and Tokyo mirage sessions FE. And lol, I mean tombstone for UM is in both xc2 and xc3 (even dlc has it lol) so idk why they didn't add tombstone on xcde when they already add so many Qol changes. And I totally disagree with oj saying future connected was bad lol, it's a fricken epilouge included in xcde for free. Btw I played future connected first because I already finished xc1 years ago. And aside xc2 I hope you can make video talking about the palworld controversy and maybe respond to some pretty bad palworld rekt Pokémon videos lol.

@@Mario123007 I could do a PalWorld take. I actually think there's a ton of bad takes on both ends of that. Might be worth putting together. My perspective hinges on The fact that AI is Cheapening Intellectual Labor, and so it has become a Disruptive Force. This means that whether its PalWorld or similar games, Pokémon is in very real danger of Disruptions right now. It wont kill it, but it will chips at its sales.

Honestly hard to say. For example, when the next Pokémon comes out, if its sales are down from S/V (I predict they will be) will it be because of Competition? Or is it people were dissatisfied with S/V? Both? Less install base on the new Switch? Peeps will interpret it all kinds of ways. Asmongold's take was not incorrect but very Customer-Centric, which means he missed some things for sure!
