I think I've written everything about why not everyone is an artist. Why can't everyone play the violin? Why can't everyone write a book? Why can't everyone compose a symphony? Etc..... And all this has nothing to do with judging artists! There must be a reason why you do something! Just for fun? I don't think a single great artist, be it a musician, writer or composer, has done anything for fun!

My abstract paintings I went a completely different route. I never wanted to mimic any artists because that's their style and that represents them. My style represents me and no one else I've given a few of my canvases away to see what type of feedback and criticism it gets from others environment's and people whom I've never met but I always get positive feedback. The world has no idea who I am and not many people have looked at my paintings. Maybe one day they'll know my name and when eyes glance at my paintings they'll know who I am.

Oh, you're so smart because you don't enjoy abstract art 🤦🏻‍♀️...of all the opinions you could share THIS is it? You're trying to shame someone for enjoying painting? Lame.

And what’s so wrong about “anyone who wants to express themselves can make art”? Why can’t I make art? I don’t have to study under master artists to make art that I enjoy. I don’t consider myself an artist and I’m not trying to sell anything, or be a master at it, but I do want to enjoy myself with it. And what’s wrong with that? I’m not exactly sure what you’re offended by…that people want to make art, that people want to copy the masters - as has been done throughout history, I might add - or just that any person is “allowed” to make art and using cheap supplies, no less!? How very elitist of you! And, IF I wanted to call myself an artist, what’s wrong with that? Who made you the judge of artists?

Hi, Sean here. Just a note. @ 7:07 this should state that our current film scans are approximately 1TB 'per hour' not 'per file'. I also only mention the FFV1 video codec which is the preservation format we use for video digitisation encoded using the Matroska (MKV) container. We currently encode our film scans as DPX sequences but we are looking at using RAWcooked which would enable us to FFV1/MKV for our film scans too.

What's ridiculous? This is all proven fact you know. If you have some counter evidence that would turn all of this on its head, the scientific community would definitely sing your praises. Folks love science until it pokes holes in their Presuppositions.
