I actually got to cab Martello in September 2021. She's also my favorite of the surviving Terriers.

46220 Coronation, 46234 Duchess of Abercorn and 46225 Duchess of Gloucester should have been selected for the National Collection by the National Railway Museum, because they were important for their speed records.

People did the best they could at the time trust me if it had been up to me we'd have more than one of each class preserved from the LNER that we do currently

If there were more Raven A2 Pacific's (I like to think maybe if 14+) and maybe made it into BR ownership, I like to think then maybe they would've received the power classification of 6P.

No matter what kind of rail fan you are, you’ve gotta love the Terriers. They’re small but perfectly formed, and were surprisingly hard working and economic. Better still, they had a variety of build forms and dozens of liveries to choose from.

It’s a shame that Silver Link didn’t make it into preservation. Billy Butlin wanted to buy Silver Link for his camp but the Eastern Region messed with him so he bought Duchess of Hamilton and Duchess of Sutherland instead.

It’s a shame that No. 4490 Empire of India didn’t make it into preservation. They would have No. 4490 donated to India if it was selected for preservation in India.
