Hello, I was looking for some flatpicking stuff to show my students, and this one is perfect. Great lesson, new sub! By the way, what software do you use for the on-screen tabs? I am using gp5 and 7, but I don´t seem to get a good smooth scroll movement from them. Thanks in advance

Thank you so much for this video! My grandpa played this song pretty much every time he picked up his guitar. I’ve never been able to learn it, but I’ve learned it from this video. Thanks again!

Great licks exercises! I play classical and contemporary Christian on my Martin O-18 guitar. Picking and strumming I like gator 1.14 or .71 and tortex. 88. I like the sound of your blue chip pick. I am now learning flatpicking bluegrass and country. Your D-15 Mahogany sounds awesome. Alot of timbre colours and flavors.

Thanks! If you like .71mm tortex I bet you’ll really like Woodtone flexgrip triangle .78mm. It’s my favorite right now.. I used tortex and blue chip for years and they’re great. The Woodtone flexgrip picks just have such a nice tone. Glad you like the video! Hope you can put some of these licks to good use!

Had a question, I recently started holding my pick like you suggested (tucking your index finger in- holding pick on side of index finger) and it has helped considerably with straight up picking. But when I strum, I gotta go back to my old way, which is a looser hold between thumb and tip of index. How about you? Can you strum well with your index tucked in? Or do you change your grip in the song as it demands?

Well mate, many thanks from overseas, Germany. Finally you got the version I always wanted to play it like and to be honest the song tht inspired me to walk some country paths. I love this song performed like as Cloney sings in the can. Id was like an offspring when I heard that once. Nuff folks, thanks again. Now it is up to me.

Brilliant! A guy was playing this at a shop today, and I'd been trying to find it for a year. Asked him the name, looked it up and got this! Thanks!

When you record is it straight to the mic or through pickups? Reverb?
@countryguitaronline
@countryguitaronline 2 ай бұрын
I always just use mics and probably no reverb on this other than the room’s natural reverb
