The instructor is supposed to inform the guy that he's going to pull the emergency chute instead of freak him out. Usually the instructor used to say GET READY FOR ANOTHER RIDE

Say the instructor has medical emergency and passes out, do they use parachutes which automatically open, when reaching a certain altitude? I have read that these types of equipment are available. Safe skydiving.

Yes there are a device called AAD which deploys the emergency chute

that was my 3rd time skydiving. I haven't gone since, but if they would have comped me another jump, I would have gone right after. Probably not the best idea, but would rather do that to get over the fear.

Issue doesn't seem too big, would be hard to navigate parachute as handles were stuck. Imagine releasing main and then reserve parachute not opening.

2 hands on the handles for cutaway and reserve please....grad both risers and turn them to untwist the lines...if possible of course

I know nothing about parachuting but... why isn't it possible to pull a steering line to cause the parachute to turn and unwind the twists?

I've done 1 tandem so I am no professional here lol. Him not knowing what was going on is probably a good thing. Had I known my instructor (whatever you call the pro) would have to cut away I would've been screaming like a little girl.

When that guy went to the back up chute, no warning? I think that sudden drop had to be terrifying even if brief.

You can just throw that jump suit out. We don't want it back. Great video. I was happy for the both of you! Favorite part was the drop to open the new chute! Classic "Oh F**K here we go" grunt! I'm glad you're alive!
