Moroccan citizen Lina Elouahabi died in Sweden in December 2021 after she failed to convince social services to help her retain custody of her 10-year-old son. The young mother was battling mental and physical health issues that may have figured in her taking her own life.Feb 4, 2022

What lovely remarks, and how very fortunate we are to have had the benefit of so much dedication and wisdom from these two remarkable professors, and for so long. I think it's not possible to thank them adequately for their extraordinary contributions to us - but let's try!! I have not had the opportunity to get to know Professor Bonnie well, although I remember being very impressed by his knowledge and lectures in the late 1970s. But since Professor Howard was overseeing the activities of the LL.M. students then, and I was fortunate to be among them, I had the unforgettable opportunity of learning from him, not just then, but also in the several decades since then, and on an ongoing basis. It is always such a treat to discover his latest publication, or to find a video of a lecture or speech he has given. More than forty years later, I am still reaping the benefits, as are so many others. What an incredible gift to have that opportunity. Since the announcement of his retirement I have given a lot of thought to the specifics of what makes Dick so special. One could expound almost endlessly on that topic, but here are a few highlights that immediately come to mind. His high intellect, impressive educational background, and his many talents of course shine through. But it is what he has done with those qualities, and his overall approach to life, that places him in such a special category. If I could mention only one characteristic, it would be his humility. He has achieved so much and contributed so much over such a long period of time, and yet - as reflected in his remarks at his retirement party - he remains so humble. It is such a touching trait - all the more so because we live in a world in which so many people aggressively tout themselves, often in ways that are not even remotely justified. Dick would be forgiven for having a swelled head at this point, but instead, remarkably retains, in his 90s, his fabulous self-deprecating humor. Another special quality is his impressive skill as a storyteller. It isn't always easy to make the law fabulously interesting, but Dick makes it so, and so wonderfully insightful and entertaining. Central to all this, I believe, is the way he thinks, the depth and breadth of his world view, his sense of adventure, and his endless interest in learning. On top of all that is his marvelous interest in others, his deep appreciation for the life he has lived, and the fact that he is such a lovely person. What an example and inspiration he is to all of us, what a gem of a human being, and how incredibly fortunate we are to having crossed paths with him. I can hardly wait to see what comes next in his remarkable life, and to learn about his upcoming adventures. Here's wishing both professors the most fabulous retirement possible. With deep appreciation, Rachel Trinder LL.M. 1978.

3:36 The very essence of law comes from the people, which are the only real substantial living beings that government and law derive its very essence from. Every law has to be in pursuance to the constitution. Period! Fictions of reality are not sovereign, nor are they alive. The American people are the true sovereigns, not the state nor federal.

What he is basically saying is: don't forget that your client is not as smart as you are. At least that is the message you could get from what he is saying, and that is very dangerous. In my experience, using jargon and the like will not cause the client to feel foolish but cause him to think that his lawyer is wasting his time using all that jargon and that he is a kind of sociopath thinking everybody should know each other's professional jargon.

Comparing the federal and state governments; it’s like watching two wolves argue to which one is going to eat you. The excuse that state governments can’t regulate themselves is similar if not equal to the federal government having the same ailment. If you read the 14th amendment, the word “person” appears in the first paragraph. The document has been misunderstood because of this, the word “person” doesn’t mean a living man as we would expect. Back in 1862 congress convened and they redefined the word “person” under 26 U.S. Code § 7701 - Definitions. (1) Person The term “person” shall be construed to mean and include an individual, a trust, estate, partnership, association, company or corporation. These are all business structures used in a commercial venue. Read the 14th amendment with a person meaning a fiction. Since congress did not express a different definition in the 14th amendment, the word person would be interpreted as defined in this title and code. Think about how many times the word person or the choices of what congress lists as categories appear in government documents. Typically, people, including attorneys, have no idea what they are signing or agreeing to. In the late 1880s corporations sued for the rights of a “person”. One more point… the south vacated their offices in 1860. Did congress have a quorum? Were they congress or did they only impersonate the body of congress? If they weren’t a congress then every writ they authored is null and void… or this isn’t the same form of government and they successfully changed our republic to some other form of government.

I'm curious. Isn't it true that someone not in their right mind can not enter into a legally binding contract. Of cour, e the man who brought alcohol to this Con job wasn't aware of. Did the owner have a drinking problem? If , o it's a small town and I'm sure common knowledge. This is theft under false pretense or deception. Who said it was all a joke? If it was the guy trying to buy the farm, this only adds to the deception. The now drunk farm owner sees the its a joke ploy reenforced by the price of 50k well below the value of the farm. It just looks like this man knew the owner had a problem with alcohol. So hatched a con. It doesn't matter if the wife signed when the husband's signature was done while under the influence of a substance known to alter judgment capabilities. Even worse is this man. Entered this restaurant with the full intention of stealing, yes, stealing the farm. Would the owner, if sober, ever sell his farm, let alone for 50k? This man is a con artist, and the entire town should be wary of him.

I would argue that the founding fathers drank and were drunk by breakfast when writing our Constitution… alcohol doesn’t prohibit the consequences of your actions, it only nullifies your ability to discern the consequences while in the moment.

Key facts to add Re Jesus and John Wayne A key observation is that the betrayal of the gospel of love and grace, of gentleness and humanity in the teachings of the gospels did not begin with white American Christianity. American evangelicals were merely contributing to a religious story that accompanied the church from right back when it became completely compromised by its adoption within the Roman State in the second century. It was corrupted by power and this was the character of Christianity henceforth, through the many centuries of the Inquisition and the Crusades, the Conquistadors, Colonialism, slavery, apartheid, the Holocaust, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the total chaos in the Middle East. In fact the instability of current world politics and the impending environmental catastrophe are both a direct result of Christian fundamentalist hegemony, it’s neurotic theology and totalising obsessions. The end of democratic civilisation is looming and this is largely due to Neo-liberalism, an economic ideology rooted in Western Christianity.

Undergrad in C.J., law school bound. Let’s talk about this: Law school is not designed for us lower income individuals. I come from a family that made under $50k a year. My father couldn’t afford to put me through undergrad so I had to choose a public 2-year college that offered a four year degree that my Pell grant would cover in full. I am also living independently and working full time, 35-40 hours a week. What am I to do when I get to law school and I am restricted to only being able to work no more than 25 hours a week (Georgia State Col. of Law rule)? How am I going to pay my bills while paying back my $75k student loan? Henceforth why I chose GA State, because their law degree is only $17k a semester. Hypothetically, there is no way for me to do this since I’m working full time now and can hardly make ends meet. Once we combine that with a near 50% hour reduction, there would be no way.

How much does one earn to do that job, plus consultation, plus all hus rights come in seeing they didn't pay! Probably looking in millions, average it out to be fair, people make alot money for adds and slogans which were used and services not rendered. Breached terms and conditions. There is a very potentially dangerous thing when the court rules to what the common man would think . In its very nature the road traveled to be a judge the court can not speak to the thoughts of the common . How can you set aside knowledge when making a decision. As for the case was it ever thought to argue that Lucy was the one that was too drunk to go into this contract . That even thought he had always wanted to buy it that at that moment he was not able to enter into that agree, ent . And that zimmer was joking and making fun of an obviously drunk person perhaps to placate an obnoxious drunk individual. Or that there was underhanded behavior by Lucy in bringing the bottle of whisky an obviously stronger drink. Then what’s usually sold at a restaurant

All this sounds interesting, but you're viewing it from the wrong angle. A shadow system of justice was concocted within the medical field, where doctors are now used to get around people's civil rights as they are currently being enlisted as investigators and judges through proxy by the police and the courts. They ignore rights to face their accuser or to even know the accusations against them as they engage in gaslighting and other manipulative tactics to elicit a response from their patients in order to substantiate lies, and where this doesn't work, they just say in the record that they've counseled their patient on an issue such as addiction, then boom, that person has addiction on their records without even having to be an addict. They're rebuilding Nazi Germany in America, and they're getting more power through the use of these tactics medicalizing civil rights. You don't even know it unless you're afflicted by it. The medical field shouldn't be used as a proxy for the legal system. They're not bound by law to the ethics of government, they barely know anything about the ethics of government, and giving them this power allows for abuse without recourse. It's a mistake. I hope you'll consider what I'm saying, think of the implications, and resist it. It's too dangerous to give them all this power and grant them immunity from prosecution and civil suits at the same time. At the very foundation of our government is a system of checks and balances. I am just one person who they defrauded of life, I couldn't stop them, but maybe you can. Just look at how the states have made it impossible to bring suits against medical personnel, they creep little by little, they take away accountability, and with that goes their filter against wrong doing. Little by little and they are weaponized against the people who go to them for help, because they don't understand what they are doing, but they have this burden on them, so they do what they are told. The Nazis did the same thing. Don't let medical professionals have any power in the people civil rights, let them practice medicine, and stay in their own lane. Please be a voice of reason in dismantling this system.
