Richard how are you and family doing? I’m thinking of getting one of those power stations from ego flow but without the solar panels I truly don’t want to be going outside in PR trying to charge. What I would do is get a mid size portable inverter generator with propane and run it about one hour when in need. I wouldn’t be using the system daily only when we loose power which is quite often in Puerto Rico. What do u think about that? If the smaller units work good I will invest in the unit you have. My get home bag lives in my car and is designated to compliment my EDC, for example I carry a small torch in my EDC then have the strap that converts it to a head torch in my GHB. My shelter plan involves a lot of dirt so i would be adding dirt to my poop and turning the poop bags into 'sand bags'. Can you run the unit and charge the battery at the same time ?

I use mine in my bedroom. Much more quiet than a conventional window AC. Btw, you can filter and drink the condensate. True it’s a heat pump and won’t work below 40*F but that’s true of all heat pumps. There is a work around. Use a resistive based heater or a fuel source heater.

I hate the outlet placement on that Ecoflow. That alone convinced me not to get it. On the other hand, the Jackery is too bulky. So the search continues.

I own several Ecoflow products. This one is not ready for prime time at this price point. I can buy an inverter ac w/heat pump for aprox $450-$500 and that’s a 12000btu unit.
