It's looking really good. I hope you get these setup for digital so I can read them on the IPad. I do like the vintage aesthetic look. Once I upgrade my current M1 IPad Pro and have more memory I will be getting these RISO brushes.

Looking awesome. What paper did they print those covers and pages on for those comics back in those days ? I love that vintage look !!! BTW, Happy Birthday !! on Kim's drawings he used a 4 or 5 point perspective based on either a cube or a sphere. Pretty complicated stuff but he practiced it since he was a teenager so after a few years he got it correct. That video was probably an interview he did a few years ago if it's the one I am thinking of where he gave examples of his process and showed the interviewer his tools of the trade he always travelled and worked with.

The vintage comics covers of bronze age and earlier seem to have been printed on an eggshell textured thin magazine stock. Probably the cheapest available! I'll have to ask my girlfriend if they still make the stuff- she works in print and knows a lot about paper. Kim Jung Gi was a true phenomenon!

The comics look amazing! I love the look of comics on newsprint! I'm ordering the newsprint paper now. I have an Epson Eco-Tank 8550. I assume it will work as well. Is there a particular printer color profile or or paper type you're selecting when printing?

Nothing special! I used the setting for printing “plain paper” and printed directly from my iPad photo roll in “standard’ mode- I’ve only had one printer jam out of 100+ pages so far but I only print in small batches. Look forward to seeing what you do with it!

Looks good. Do you think you are at the point where you need a couple 1 hour one on one sessions with your instructor so you can see where you are at and then work on that ? The worst thing is doubting yourself and feeling like you are stuck in your progress.

Well I think I’m at a certain point on composition and I need to tighten up my fundamental drawing skills in general to catch up so that I can move forward. I think of it like a 3-leg stool. If you only build up one skill you can’t really improve as a whole until you bring the other legs up. Faces, figures, design, perspective and composition.. maybe it’s a 5-legged stool!

@@empyreanvole That's why I was thinking a 1 on 1 so the instructor/mentor and look over your collective work you have and then go over what he thinks you need to work on. Thankfully you have saved all your stuff so he can see where your progress is an point out your strengths and weaknesses.
