I’ve gone back to watch this performance too many times to count the last 3 years and am always transfixed by Aldous here and in general, but whenever I replay this video I’m reminded of when a woman calls out of the audience saying “love you”, and then less than 10 seconds later a man at around 5:05 says “anytime” as if to nullify the kind thing the woman shouted out to show love to Hannah. Am I just over exaggerating this or am I truly hearing this man right in him trying to subtly demean her own way of preparing in between song by taking her time to audibly call out for her and everyone to hear just after she’s kindly complimented, with an “anytime” as if his displeasure must be resolved. Maybe I got issues but am I making all this up and did he even say “anytime” in impatience in the first place?

Nice work! Of course online nothing can really match the sound of Birdman live without blowing up one's computer speakers. The energy of Sunday night's show was amazing

You are absolutely right. Videos can never adequately capture the excitement of being there. At best, they provide a glimpse, or if you were there, can trigger memories. I've read comments about all three Sydney shows. Everyone was blown away. I've no idea whether or not these will be their last shows, but they've certainly got a lot of life left in them. Thanks for commenting.

Hi Tank. How goes things? Along with The Saints, Radio Birdman formed in the early 70's but it wasn't until punk came along that they got the recognition they deserved. Their influences were The MC5 and The Stooges, amongst others. There's been three incarnations and three albums. They are somewhat legendary in the Australian music scene. They certainly lived up to that legacy during this gig. Thanks for the comment.

@@dsmlabs7187 I'm not being argumentative. I'm genuinely interested to know what you think their best hits were. Dare was their biggest selling album. I can tell you there were plenty of very happy diehard Australian fans with this tour.

Played my Dare pre recorded cassette to death in the early 80s..Then bought the vinyl and recorded that onto cassette which kept my original LP in mint condition. Bought it on CD, have the digital download BUT if I want to really enjoy it, I spin my original LP. PURE BLISS. I hope everyone enjoyed this stellar show in my most beloved City 💜💜🇦🇺

Yes, that's a great album. I hummed and harred about seeing their upcoming 'Stoneage Romeos' tour but decided I didn't want to see that album live in its entirety. There are so many other great songs I'd like to hear instead. It wasn't an easy decision.
