My father died and the funeral home was recommended by family. Their website says that if they have a life/death policy they can get the money sooner than 60-90 days. I went they called the policy told them they pay the funeral home directly and to get just send the assignment over and they pay immediately to them. They hung up the phone with them and told me no to pay up front it would take 60-90days. I did not have 7,000 for the memorial, open casket , and cremation and could only come up with 2,000 for direct cremation. Before i cam up with it i went back down to the funeral home and told them no let's go through his policy and they had me sign and notorized. They still did not send it too them now it was too late to enbalm him and the only option was cremation. My dad has a gold cross necklace the only item they took off of him since he died at home. The coroners office gave it to the funeral home. I had to ask them about the necklace when I picked up his ashes week a week later and they said they hired a 3rd party to pick up his body and they said they gave it to the funeral home but they did not have it. The funeral home said it is there fault and offered $100.00 and they do not want to draw it out. They also never told me and nowhere in the contract did it state they would use a 3rd party to pick his body up. Unfortunately since all i could do was direct cremation paying upfront my family had a memorial without me or telling me😢. His only child. So i thought maybe there maybe still something positive and found a coral reef memorial place where you can mix ashes of your loved ones and make a reef that goes into the ocean since my dad loved to fo fishing. MY brother died 7 years ago and we can do both my dad's and brother ashes since he was like a dad to my brother (different dad). My mother used the same funeral home as i did for my dad. She finally opened up his urn to find out the id card and ashes are NOT even my brothers😞. I feel like we are on the show punk'd . I wonder how many other people dealt with the same. I feel helpless and dont know what to do.

If your like me your case isn't worth anything. I had the rods and screws put in. Getting out of bed one morning and a screw broke. Had a second surgery. Removed broken screw and installed same size screw. One month later screw started coming out of my spine. Went for a third surgery where he punt a bigger screw in and now I can't stand upright or walk without being hunched over. I'm in pain all the time. Have to take pills just to sleep. Hey I got hired by Company name Allied universal airport security they took written test and a interview and so many other things They made us travel to the airport literally 1 to 2 times a week did do medical exam They gave us a ID cards and after a almost 3 months they emailed us saying that they want ID back not giving any other info now after we waited over a year new company paladin took over and they made us take the test again some of us failed but This is not fair after making us wait over a year and we spent so much money and time traveling to the airport can i sue them
