How r roadcruza, comforser tyres that has the look of bfg ko2s and maxxis 980s

Been confused with 215/225 or 235. So u dont have any issues with the 235 touching against the car body while steering, without an uplift!! Correct?
@RoadsOfTheMountains12 күн бұрын
Hi,thanx for catching up. Keep it simple 215 for the most comfort, 235 for the best practical aesthetics 225 is best of both the worlds the middle way out. 235 does not interfere with clearance mostly,however the front bumper needs a slight trim for the best accomodation of the 235s. I have managed to live happily with my 235s without the lift. If you dont want to trim the bumper,go with 225s If you want most comfort and looks dont matter go with 215s. Regards.

Can we use 225 instead of 215 , 215 still looks small on Jimny
@RoadsOfTheMountains19 күн бұрын
Hi,Thanx for tuning in You can definitely go for 225 with the jimny,yup 215 is small and looks childish,but be imformed 215 is the most comfortable tyre if not the most aesthetically appealing. Enjoy the jimny,Thanx

Thank you for your help to a new Jimny owner! I've heard it's a good idea to use 4WD regularly to keep it working well.

But won't engaging 4wd on a regular basis stress the axles?
@vickyedwards43343 күн бұрын
@@epictetus__ Hi, don't really understand your question...as 4wd is what it is built for. (regularly, like anything, to stop it seizing up like air conditioning.)

In my opinion y he Brake Limited Slip Differential of the Jimny is too slow to react. I needs 4-5 full revolutions of the wheel before it understands to apply brakes to the spinning wheel transferring torque to the wheel not rotating. Other brands are much better at this. Meaning, if you want the AllGrip system of the Jimny to perform well you need to keep the engine rev’s at 3000-4000 for the AllGrip to understand what it needs to do. This is not always ideal, especially when rock crawling. Solution … Get one or two / front or rear/ or both differential lockers. In general there are three kinds of diff-lockers. 1. Air lockers. The best ones are from ARB in Australia. The cheap ones are Chinese copies using cheaper materials that brake - don’t buy them. Air lockers require a compressor. If an air-locker isn’t installed well air-lockers will leak air, I.e., will not engage. 2. Electro magnetic lockers, E-Lockets. Installation quality is important. E-lockers disengage if the vehicle reverse. It will only re-engage when more ving forward by 1-2 turns of the wheel. 3. Automatic lockers. These lockers are fully automatic. As long as the wheels on the same axle rotates at the same speed the differential is closed/locked. But when on high friction surface like tarmac making a turn the auto-locker will unlock itself to permit the outer wheel of the bend to turn faster than its mate on the same axle. The auto-locker is my favorite. It cost less than the other two, it’s more reliable, and it challenges me as its driver because I have to be mechanically empathic driving it. In my Gen3 Jimny o had a rear LockRight locker from Power Trax. It turned a very capable 4x4 to a mountain goat! Today I have a Gen4 Jimny with front and rear diff-lockers from Kaiser in Brazil. Yes, the lockers from ARB are the best. But for half the cost of the ARB’s I got two lockers from Kaiser. As I’m on a budget, I favor the Kaiser ones, hands down. Nothing will have as a great impact on capability of your 4x4 as one or two differential lockers. - Get them.

To engage 4H you don't have to set the main gear to neutral; it is on the ply shiftable!
@RoadsOfTheMountains2 ай бұрын
Hi,your imformation is correct. But this one instatnce while uphill offroading i put my jimny in 2H fron 4H And inspite of that my front wheels remained engaged.They only disengaged after i neutralized my gearbox.Hence this imformation. I Have concluded from my personel experience that 2H to 4H on the go can be done while the vehicle is in a constant speed.When stationery it takes time to engage or disengage. Regards

@RoadsOfTheMountains5 ай бұрын
Hi,thanx for tuning in.The 215 size is the most perfect one can have for jimny.This size will not rub under extreme scenarios. After extensive testing we have observed that under full passenger and luggage load the 235 does rub onto the wheel arches. However the 235 is visually very appealing,but the downside is it rubs when articulated to extreme.People are happy with the 215s they have installed,if you have it you keep it simple.

What if there is heavy luggage in the boot and a couple of friends in the car? I think the tyre will rub against the body during the articulation. Maybe this tyre is only good if you're solo in the jimny with not too much luggage 😊
@RoadsOfTheMountains5 ай бұрын
Hi,thanx for tuning in In such scenarios of heavy luggage and full passenger load,these tyres do get rubbed.The safest option to install are the 215s.with the 235 onwards you would require a lift kit for sure. When riding solo,the tyres don't rub at all. REGARDS

Should we use 4H on ghat road for climbing hair pin bends and steep inclines on good tarmac ghat roads?
@RoadsOfTheMountains6 ай бұрын
Hi,Tarmac roads do not call for the application of 4H.2H should easily cross challenging inclines on nicely paved tarmac roads.But if it is slippery,muddy or there is loss of traction on roads one should use 4 H without hesitation. Snowy and muddy situations require 4 H the most.

I am using Yokohama 215/75R 15 AT with airpressure of 28 in all tyres of Jimny automatic Yesterday, I took the vehicle in the hills for the first time & to my surprise...I found the car was jerky on Road whereas it was settling properly while passing through path holes or rough terrain on slow speeds . As a driver I felt a lot of body roll on corners in hills & was afraid as if the vehicle may get unstable on corners. I was driving solo & without any luggage. There are no other alterations done in the vehicle..I mean no weight additions apart from tyres upgradation. Can you pl suggest solution to this ... should I reduce the tyre pressure further from 28 while driving in hills.
@RoadsOfTheMountains7 ай бұрын
Greetings Amit,Jimny has got a suspension set up which is on a softer side,which helps it in absorbing all the rough offroad patches.But jimny behaves differently on metalled road potholes.Due to both front and back solid axles and ladder on frame construction it behaves differently under such paved potholes.The solution is to tune down your psi to 26 or even 25. I often drive mine on 24 psi and the ride is then very cushioned and the effect of potholes is reduced.i suggest trying 26 psi. And ya one needs to be careful while cornering but jimny is decently stable on curves.

Can we use 4H on a wet tarmac road for better traction?
@RoadsOfTheMountains7 ай бұрын
Hi,You wont get any huge advantages out of a 4 H on wet tarmac,if it is a wet muddy road definitely yes you get use out of 4H.otherwise it is not really rquired on wet tarmac.AWD equipped vehicles get constant torque vectoring which helps them on wet tatmac to go through situations very intelligently.Jimny is plain n simple, use 4H only when required.

Well explained. I only recently picked up my Jimny and was considering driving straight to a tyre dealer to trade in the stock Duelers for a set of Geolandar A/T tyres in size 215/75R15. However, I decided to use my stock tyres until I wear them out. I don't want to mess with the warranty, least of all while the car is still new. I hear that the Jimny is still quite capable with the stock tyres so I might as well use them. By the way, I noticed the HP plates. I recently rode to Narkanda and saw more Jimnys in Himachal on that one trip than I have seen in Noida since this car was launched! The Gypsy was really popular in HP so perhaps it is natural that the Jimny would be too.
@RoadsOfTheMountains7 ай бұрын
Hi,thanx for the appreciation.Congrats for the jimny you own.The stock tyres are the most comfortable ones,only in mud and snow one can realize it's shortcomings.Mind it the stock tyres are also M+S rated,they are decently capable.215s are the most hassle free upgrades. Yup jimny's are very capable,nimble and compact which is why Himachal loves them.The legacy of the gypsy king continues.wish you many happy miles on your jimny.Regards.
