It’s just occurred to me that there’s literally no shipyards, docks, jetties, etc. in the Lands Between. All the tarnished left by boat, then all naval buildings were dismantled and fish-based diets were made heretical.

It is not objectively speaking true that an emperion is a child of a single god. The remembrance could be saying that the cause of the curses but has not effected their status as emperions.

Your content is so fkn incredible to me. Your deep appreciation for the depth and nuance of words and language and how we use and structure them has been extraordinarily refreshing and eye opening for me. My whole life, I've felt like words in particular, and language, have so much more power and meaning behind them than what the vast majority of people around me seem to be able to appreciate. And because I place so much emphasis on words and their power, I've noticed in myself a longing due to the profound lack of stimulating and deeper conversation with people. Which isn't their fault, I understand most people don't have the same appetite that I do for "getting into the weeds of a thing" - so to speak, and I certainly don't fault them for it. This has inadvertently resulted in my keeping of a smaller "circle" than what I'm used to seeing in others. Though I'm not a total loner or anything, but, let's just say I'm no stranger to the sight of a friends eyes glaze over when I attempt to breach too far into the depths of a concept, and as a result I've learned to reserve that penchant for when such conversation is elicited from me rather than the opposite. Your videos and the depth you go to in them with regards to language, has just been so very refreshing, and in seeing the community surrounding your content, I feel just a little less apart from the whole. So thank you for that. 🙂 Anyways, I just I'd offer a little personal testimony for why your content means so much to me, beyond just the fact that it's about one of if not my favorite IPs to date. Talk to ya later!

I'm not convinced there are enough indications to think of the flame bursting is them crying. I also not convinced that the frenzied flame is akin to sadness or depression. In the game there are characters that get the frenzied flame after experiencing something sad, like that knight father that came too late for his daughter that got killed by a mistborn. But as you can see he doesn't have frenzied flame as he is sad. It is something that comes after. I think that suggest that sadness leads people to try to understand the world in context to what happened, and the answers might lead to new beliefs that fosters the frenzied flame. And I think it's actually a lack of faith. Or faith, but negative-faith as some of these characters would call it a greater truth. (I also think of it as similar to insight from bloodbourne. A special kind of insight that is infectious) I think the frenzied flame is better understood in context of the story 'the king in yellow', which is several stories unrelated, set in the world of HP Lovecraft, describing a thing very similar to the frenzied flame. It's a force that exists through a belief or obervance of a truth, but might not exist by itself. It kind of like a ideology made into a monster, and kind of maybe a force symbolizing like propaganda, nihilistic truths and the power these things have in our lives.

6:40 Your videos make me upset because they aren’t watched enough, and people who take lore really seriously in the community are lost on things you make really obvious, like rune of the unborn is Ranni’s. I have no mouth but I must scream when super smart people are like, ‘Rennala’s great rune was given to her by Radagon right? How is that possible and why?’

How can you, in the same video, say that Forsaken Depths hole not fitting with the above city of Leyndell is just "video game level design" ; and dismiss Tarnished Archeologist's theory on the sole argument that "it doesn't fit" ?

Because they are different things, comrade. They are different because they are not the same.

because OP claimed the forsaken pit depicts an open air connection to the outside, while Tarnished Archeologist claimed it ‘actually appears to complete the missing part of the remaining city’ Refuting TA’s claim that it fits is valid because TA claims that it appears to fit

On bodies and souls: Does this kind of explain the evergaols? Is an Evergaol simply a way to trap a soul in physical form so that it's no longer free to materialise and interact with the physical world? Is that why we fight Vyke in the real world and in the evergaol?

Oh wow, i think this helps to unify soe other lore theories. There is a popular theory, i believe propagated by Ratotasr, that the Eternal Cities at some point became 'underground' and used to be above ground, that they 'sank' at some point. i've seen theorists like Quelaag respond that the eternal cities look intentionally built rather than shifted. What if both are true. What i when your Mt Lleyndel was 'raised' the eternal cities were simply left behind. What if the Greater will raised the plateau specifically to bury the eternal cities, leaving them behind with a false sky?

37:24 Maybe the needle takes away your memory. Since, while in Plassy's arena, the Three Fingers haven't PHYSICALLY touched you, this must be WHY the needle can work. But you keep the eyes in that arena, even if you have the needle - then the eyes go away after using the needle? So, since the 'cause' of the 'effects' hasn't happened, maybe you have the 'effects' still because you individually REMEMBER them, and through magical manifestation, are bringing these remembered effects into reality. Then using the needle messes with your memory, causing you to forget that you encountered the Three Fingers, thus removing the last existing record that it happened. Since it seems important that Empyreans have to sort of 'choose' to become gods, maybe it's a sort of thing where the outer god in question is knocking on the door, really loudly, but the needle just dulls your ability to remember that fact, thus forestalling the ability of the outer god to walk through the door of your mind. When the needle gets removed, it's like taking away the morphine and ALL the knocking gets through, and it's so loud (cuz, outer god) that you can't keep it out anymore, thus choosing to let the outer god in, all the way.

Linking soul, life, vitality etc to "Will" has very interesting implications, espcially in philosophies like Schopenhauer's or even esoteric ideologies like the Hermetic Golden Dawn and Thelema, where one's True Will is the animating force, one's purpose in life, or to use Thelema's terms, one's course or 'orbit', since its foundational text is is said that "every man and every woman is a star". It would be interesting to interpret Causality and Regression through the lens of Thelema as well, there are many correspondences one can find

If Gransax's attack on Leyndell happened well before the shattering, and thus the main gate of the city led to a lake, this actually helps solve the mystery of Godefroy. All the evidence points to Godrick being inside the capital during the first siege of Leyndell and having to flee either during or following the battle, meaning he couldn't have been leading the army. But if they were attacking a gate that was already useless, as seen in the trailer, then the attacking army must not have known about the damage. Godrick was not at all involved in the siege, then. It was all Godefroy.
