Believe it or not: Illy offered their brand new iperEspresso machine as a free promotion YEARS ago (and I never turn down a freebie.) However, I put the arrival box in a storage closet and forgot about it. A recent remodel/decluttering had me open the box to see what was inside, and this is what I found! I had been buying ground coffee from Illy for my small espresso machine which finally broke. So I ordered some iper capsules and gave this thing a try. I love it! My early model doesn’t have a cappuccinatore, but I do have a small milk frother which works fine; besides, during this hot summer, all I’ve been making are iced coffees (3 or 4 a day.)

Dear Illy, I have watched now all the videos but there is still no explanation anywhere to be found to WHY illy recommends only 7 grams of coffee and more importantly HOW are coffeeshops doing double espressos in a 58mm coffee machine? I have used iperespresso machine for years and have now upgraded at home to a full size coffee machine with 58mm portafilter. Any basket is too large for 7grams of coffee. What am I supposed to do? According to all your information the illy coffee gets bitter when used with more than 7grams. Does that mean if I want a double espresso that I should not put 14grams in the portafilter as it will come out bitter? I have googled the past 3 days with no answer to any of this and it's a bit disappointing that neither your website nor any video explains how coffee houses use illy coffee to make espresso. I just like classic red illy, but I need it at home. I purchased a 2500 euro Sage Oracle Touch machine so I don't have to think and learn about any of this but apparently I still have to learn and search more than ever before. I want the full bean grinder experience with illy, please help me by just replying here in text. THANK YOU

Aiuto Ho appena attivato la macchina nuova Che difficoltà ad inserire serbatoio acqua, pensavo di romperlo perché inserivo sotto, badando al cavo ,ma non riuscivo se non premendo molto ,per inserire la linguetta in alto Ma é duro anche aprire lo sportellino per inserire cialda e riaprirlo. Spero sia perché nuova e pensare che l’ho acquistata perché non riuscivo più ad aprire la moka. Comunque il primo caffè illy classico non mi piaciuto moltissimo forse migliorerà o mi dovrò abituare

Salve! Gentilmente vorrei un'informazione su questa macchina, avevo una X1 polvere libera, vecchio tipo non più funzionante, ma credevo fosse compatibile con le più recenti X1 trio...invece dopo averla acquistata ho notato che il portafiltro a cialde ha all'interno una strana ghiera in plastica su cui è posto un piccolo disco forato ma NON è compatibile come dimensione con la macchina a polvere libera che avevo in precedenza. Ora io sono costretta ad usare esclusivamente le cialde visto che i due braccetti hanno notevoli differenze. Grazie per la delucidazione
