I just ADMIRE the faith that pain has put in you. I have lived with pain all my life and seen some of the most horrible pain in people in our day. Pain is a teacher of the heart. Nothing will communicate to us more loudly than pain does. Even God allowed Jesus to go through it to communicate His love to a lost and withering humanity. It was a form of communication to the heart of God about His love for us. His son cried to God to take it away, but since He understood the importance and meaning of it, He still acknowledges it with it with these awesome words, "Not my will, but THINE be done". What a glorious manifestation of faith in such difficult time! I hear those bells ringing in your spirit, brother. Nothing to be compared to the Gethsemane experience but you're on that route, partaking and trusting in the loving heavenly Father, like Jesus did. You're a stalwart son; a valiant spirit in whose body the glory of the Lord is borne through adversity. I've been praying for you together with my little team of followers of Christ here in Kenya. And you're teaching me some deep Kingdom things. Please, keep on keeping on, dear brother and fellow laborer in the Kingdom of our Father and our Lord and King.

Thanks for sharing a biblical theology of suffering. The Church in the West today desperately needs to return to a Biblical theology of suffering. It will take some of us to suffer and be the example for others to gain a proper perspective, and lead the way for what it looks like. Thank you. Rick and I are praying for you all and all you are encountering that you would never have encountered if you had not been given this gift. I pray those who are in your sphere of care, will clearly see and hear how worthy He is and you will start a movement right where you are! No matter how long or short this journey is-look at it as a short term Missions trip for long term impact.
